Rare Tea Katy — Restaurant in Katy

This cute little tea shop has some delicious matcha! We tried the rose matcha and the coconut matcha and both were very refreshing and delicious with the right amount of flavor!

The matcha was smooth and strong and NOT powdery or grainy like some people dislike. The rose flavor really came thru unlike other rose flavored drinks I've had before (OH! And she also puts a few rose petals in the rose matcha for that extra rose taste. The coconut flavor also tasted really good and it's a nice safe choice.

My family and I count ourselves as tea/boba connoisseurs. We saw this place next to PetCo and decided to give it a try. Wow, I’m glad we did. It was fantastic. Kiwi fruit tea was very refreshing and not overpowering with syrupy flavor like a lot of other places. My daughter’s smoothie was delicious, and my other daughter’s mango passion fruit tea was fantastic. The boba was a 10/10. Chewiness was there, flavor was also perfect. Poor customer service. Younger people working that act like they don’t want to be at work. I asked for a drink that I ended up not liking and I asked politely asked if I could get another drink to be told it was too expensive to make another matcha tea. Unheard of!! She had earphones on listening to whatever and when I did get her attention she looked bothered. I normally always tell everyone about Rare tea but not anymore!
