Gyro Republic has quickly become one of my favorite spots for a fresh, flavorful, and satisfying meal. I visited their first location when they opened years ago in Sugar Land, and am glad the quality and flavors continue to shine.

Their gyro bowls are nothing short of exceptional. Each bowl is a perfect balance of vibrant ingredients, featuring tender, seasoned-to-perfection meats, crisp vegetables, and an array of toppings that tie everything together. The variety of options and sauces are endless, ensuring something for every palate.

The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients shines through in every bite. What sets Gyro Republic apart is not just their food but also their attention to detail in presentation—every bowl is a feast for the eyes as much as it is for the stomach.

I’ve probably visited this branch over 50 times since it opened. Generally, the food is okay—not my favorite, but decent. However, what truly needs urgent improvement is the staff.

The male staff members at this location are consistently rude, racist and lack basic customer service skills. They come across as defensive, insensitive, and unprofessional when dealing with concerns. On my most recent visit, instead of addressing the issue or offering a simple apology, the manager on duty chose to defend the staff—even when their behavior was clearly unacceptable. Rather than de-escalating the situation, the manager’s response only made things worse.

When I raised my concern—not only about how I was treated, but about how this kind of behavior could negatively impact other customers and ultimately harm the brand—it was completely dismissed.

To add to the frustration, I spent over $100 during this visit, only to witness staff preparing food in a way that felt unprofessional and petty—counting out individual portions of rice, or chicken for example. It left an impression of stinginess rather than care or quality.

I recently visited the newly opened Gyro Republic location in Katy, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! Staff was very humble and kind, which made us feel welcome from the start. The food was incredible, and the value for money was unbeatable. The regular was extremely filling and allowed us to choose from a wide range of toppings. The protein options were delicious, with flavors ranging from mild to spicy, and everything was made fresh from scratch. The ambiance of the location was perfect, with a lively and happening atmosphere that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We tried the gyros, burritos, and rice bowls with protein, and each dish was extremely delicious 😋. What impressed us the most was the kid-friendly environment, with ample parking space available. We were so happy with our experience that we're willing to drive 30 minutes every weekend to grab their yummy deals! I would rate Gyro Republic 20/10, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
