I decided to have a birthday dinner with my family here this evening. The plan was to have dinner and then bowl for a few hours. I chose this location because of the reasonable pricing for bowling and the good reviews on the food. We were a decent sized group of 13.
Unfortunately, it did not turn out this way, because after dinner, when we asked how long of a wait for open lanes, we were told that it was league bowling only, no open bowling. On a Friday night at 8pm! How foolish of me to believe that a bowling alley, on a Friday night, would be available to the general public.
The only thing keeping this from a 1 star review was that our waitress was friendly and we enjoyed the food. But had we known we were going to be denied bowling, at a bowling alley, on a Friday night, we would have chosen elsewhere to eat. I understand the website says that open bowling is not available during league play, but no dates of league play are listed. How is the casual bowler supposed to know when league play is? And why have it on a weekend day, when most casual bowlers are out looking for a fun evening? At the very least, if league bowlers are your chosen demographic to cater to, put up a schedule on your website so people don't waste their time. You advertise food, drinks, and bowling. But you really only offer 2/3 of that.
I spent a couple hundred dollars at your establishment, and was ready to spend more, but the experience soured me so much, I won't be back, nor will I recommend...
Read moreDebated on sharing this but we haven't been in for awhile so we came in for Friday fish. There were 2 tables at the time. Service was so slow. Server (Hope) couldn't remember orders and kept forgetting things. For example us asking for 2 small boxes 3x and then she brought 1 big and 1 small. It was freezing cold in there and every time she came to the table she's like omg it's so hot in here I'm so sweaty - unprofessional and weird thing to say to customers who are eating. Food came out cold besides the kids meal. It was $82 for 2 fish meals, 1 appetizer, a kids meal, 1 soda and 1 old fashioned. Not to mention she said the child sprite was included in the meal but we were charged anyways. They charge for the side sauces because apparently they arent included with the fish meals? Never hear dof such a thing. Portions did not reflect the massive price tag, nor did the flavor, quality or service. I understand why they weren't busy on a major fish fry Friday now. Disappointed overall because it used to be good. Flavorless, expensive and slow. Definitely...
Read moreWe went here for dinner and bowling last Saturday, thinking that we'd try someplace new. I ordered the loaded grilled cheese with tomatoes and regular fries and a side of ranch. My boyfriend ordered the ultimate cheesehead burger. Our food comes out very quickly, and I noticed that I got the grilled cheese with NO tomatoes, NO side of ranch, and sweet potato waffle fries. The bartender gave me the wrong order, and only after she came out with the correct order to give to another couple, did she ask if i wanted the tomato and the regular fries. At this point I was almost finished eating my incorrect meal anyway, so I declined. She stated that she was very embarrassed and that this has never happened to her, but yet she refused to discount our $50.00 meal. On top of that, they have couples league bowling ONCE A MONTH on a Saturday, so we were not able to do that either. Will NOT be going here any time in the near future until they find a better way to communicate between kitchen and servers. It was pure chaos there. Too many...
