Last night my daughter and I had an appointment to try on our dresses for the wedding. The owner of Helena's Alterations and Creations was at first nice to come in on day she typically didn't come otherwise Payton and I wouldn't have needed to go somewhere else to have our dresses altered. Helena forget about appointment, didn't answer my multiple phones and when she finally did get a hold me to get my dress she kicked me and Payton out of her store without being able to try it because she "couldn't handle the stress." Payton's dress and my dress need a little more work done to have it fit us. This is the biggest moment in my life and I trusted this woman with a part of it. I cannot recommend Helena enough. I have brought in items to Helena on multiple occasions but recently I brought in my wedding dress to get altered and to add a bustle and I brought in my moms wedding dress to get altered and fitted for me to wear at my rehearsal dinner. And she is phenomenal. She was able to do all of the alterations I needed in less than two weeks for both dresses and the quality is impeccable. Helena is personable, kind, and very fair on pricing. I even told a few of my family members to see her with last minute alterations when they didn't have luck at other places. I can't recommend Helena enough! As a bride who already paid more than what she was hoping to pay for her dress, I was quoted $600+ for alterations from the in-house seamstress where I bought my dress. I panicked, said nope, and thankfully found Helena! She was sweet, kind, and up front about pricing (very affordable). Not to mention my dress turned out absolutely perfect and now looks like it was made just for me. She got my dress back to me in a few short weeks... thank you SO much Helena!
