I wish I could give zero stars. Shadiest business. Fred Meyer will never get our business again. I've had my ring for almost 7 years and we purchased the warranty when we bought the ring. I've brought it in and had it serviced, cleaned and inspected more than twice a year for these last 7 years. I've had it resized, re-dipped, I've even had small diamonds replaced on it all through this warranty. I've never been given or been asked anything for this other than my name. I recently brought my ring in because my main diamond was chipped. They told me they wouldn't cover it because I am supposed to keep my own record of all the times I brought it in. They don't keep a record. Every time they've sent my ring to another state. THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF THIS. That alone is shady. When I told them no one has ever asked me for my records I got the response "yeah we weren't doing a great job at getting it and it was costing Fred Meyer a lot of money so they're making us buckle down on it now." We felt lied to and manipulated on a very special day, which is not what either of us were hoping for. We called in and received a quote for a very specific item, were told to come into the store to receive the quoted discount (45 minute drive). Once we arrived, we were handed off to a new lady who was expecting us. She completed the order without allowing us to check any of our personal info and submitted the order without warning or showing us the price. Only after I asked if the discount was applied did we realize that we were probably charged an additional $150. We don't really know because after a few days we still haven't received a receipt. I haven't ever purchased anything from this jewelry store, but I took my wedding ring there to have it "straightened out". Somehow, while I was wearing it, it got misshaped and bent. They were happy to make it round again and clean it for me. Best of all, they didn't even charge me for the service.
