I like Harbor Freight and I'm glad that they built one in Keene, it is at least an hour closer to where I live than the other stores that I have visited but I usually order on line. Today I needed a live animal trap to help coax a cat out from under the house as it's going to get colder at night soon. We have been trying to coax her out with food but she always eats and then back under to hide I looked online and learned that they had what I wanted. I called the store to be sure. Yes, I was told, we have that. When I arrived, I asked the woman cashier where I might find it. Her first response was "We don't have that." When I told her that someone else had already told me that it was in the store, she told me that it would be in the outdoor section. I looked at all the boxes on display and could not find a trap. Then I looked all over the store and she saw me checking every aisle without offering to help. I finally went to the store manager who was also on a register right next to her. He took me down the outdoor aisle and pointed to a label with white tickets underneath that was hanging on a display rack amongst varied merchandise. He then took a white ticket back to the register and looked it up. He then went to the back room by himself and brought the trap back and rang it up. All done very quickly, professionally and cheerfully. That's how it should be and I hope that the woman working there that day took notice. That's the kind of service I usually get at other HF locations. Thank you Harbor Freight for coming...
Read moreI give the store five stars because of the helpful young lady that was at the register she knew exactly where the exhaust pipe cutter was an exactly what a exhaust pipe cutter is. She was just fantastic and made my first visit to that store great. And if she's the one that got berated by a manager, that was referenced in a previous review,... I'll have something to say to him if I if it ever happens when I'm in that store. I'm not an easy person to satisfy as a person could see by looking at my other Google reviews. But a good employee can make up for a whole lot of other things lacking in a store. And that five-star review I'm giving it is 95% because of that lady who knew what she was...
Read moreI recently visited, and while the store itself was well-organized and easy to navigate, I was disappointed that many of their deals require a $29 membership fee. For someone like me who doesnât buy tools frequently, paying for a membership just doesnât make sense.
That said, I do appreciate the quality and value of Harbor Freightâs power tools, which Iâve found reliable in the past. If youâre a frequent shopper, the membership might be worth it, but for occasional purchases, it feels like a barrier.
Overall, the store is well-stocked and offers good tools, but the membership requirement for deals is a downside for occasional...
