Brickhouse Pizza and Wings — Restaurant in Keene

Overall it’s ok. Not bad, not great, it’s ok. I got the chicken & waffles and it left something to be desired. It was pretty bland and the syrup they served with it was refrigerator cold, so that was kind of weird. Never put or have been given refrigerator cold syrup on chicken and waffles before until now. My kiddos got a burger with fries and chicken tenders with fries. The chicken tenders have an interesting breading on them… hush puppy breading in a way. But my son wouldn’t eat them because they weren’t crispy, and the breading didn’t match the breading of the chicken on my plate so I’m pretty sure they’re not breading any (or much) of their chicken in house. The burger my son ordered was alright, kind of hard to mess up a burger. My husband got a large calzone with grilled chicken and pineapple, it was dry. Dry seemed to be the theme around the table. The service was ok as well. No huge complaint, there was just something left to be desired. If we stop in again on our way back from VT we’ll get the pizza next time and see...

That was the most unappetizing burger I have ever had. Not even the bacon could save it, in fact the bacon was cold and stale which made the burger worse. I took 3 bites and it immediately turned my stomach. Service is almost deplorable; servers were seen touching dirty napkins and wiping down tables with dirty rags and not once did I see a hand get washed. I couldn't tell you who our server was because we had 3 different servers trying to do the job of 1 person. 1 server gave us menus, took our drink orders, came back w/ the drinks and took our appetizer order and came back with the apps. Then server 2 comes over to take our lunch order, we repeat the order, twice. Server 3 came in with the order, not knowing who ordered what and wouldn't you know it, after repeating the order twice they still got it wrong. Got 3 types of wings. The wings were jumbo which makes paying $8.50 for just 5 wings not so bad. They were cooked perfectly as well. The only reason it's 4-stars is because the sauces are a bit odd.

Mango Habenero was the best, although it's really lacking any heat sadly. The Buffalo was pretty classic but had an off flavor.... like they added tomato sauce or ketchup to the hot sauce instead of butter. Still, 100% acceptable.

The Brickhouse Special sauce was... not great. Very confusing sauce. It's basically barbeque or teriyaki with a ton of pork rub thrown in. The cumin was overpowering and I think there actually may be pork renderings in the sauce? Hard to tell. It's a few tweaks away from something really special but it's missing the mark with me.
