This is a huge Super store. One of the things that struck me right away was that the grab and go items are at the door at the entrance which is a mistake. Who is going to grab and go if they're on their way shopping inside the store?
The items are going to get hot in the cart. So that was difficult . I decided on the way out of the store I would go check to see if I could pick those items up before I got in the lines to cash out. I actually didn't purchase any of those. I went to the deli instead and found a reasonably priced sandwich which was unusual because they were all $5 or more.
I understand why they might do that for individuals who might come in on their lunch break and just grab something and then cash out but for those of us who are shopping and new to the store it didn't make any sense.
I actually found the layout to be quite difficult. I have been to Walmart all over New England actually. This one was the most confusing. I actually had to ask two guys who are on their break who worked for Walmart where certain items were because it was so confusing.
Initially I found myself quite daunted that the items that I really wanted that I normally would be able to find easily, I couldn't find.
There were very few staff members on the floor in the areas where I was and it was difficult to actually get anybody's attention. The bilingual staff was not helpful. I could have spoken in Spanish but they just kind of sloughed me off as far as directing me to where I exactly had to go. I was shocked at that that never happens. It was if was inconveniencing them.
I was however impressed that the asters were on sale for $5.97 where in my area it would be double. But there was nobody in the garden center - not acceptable. If you want to have customers buy, have somebody there to help them if they have questions.
I actually went in twice, two days in a row because I'd forgotten some things and I wanted to check on the prices of other things.
I was really quite shocked at how expensive for instance bedding was! Who is going to be able to afford $70 for a king size sheet set? That's outrageous! Everybody knows that Walmart is one of the biggest buyers in the world and has the best capability inexpensive price from places as far away as China and yet the increase in price that they are charging to their customer is outrageous.
This was the first time that I actually was so upset about going to Walmart in my life. Normally they have huge selection which they did have in some things but in other things I didn't even have that I was looking for. That was shocking.
I actually decided to go to other outlet stores like Ocean State Job Lots and check on their prices and their prices were amazingly lower which was shocking again because they don't have the buying capacity that Walmart does.
What Walmart is doing to their customer is just as bad as what Amazon is doing to their customers. The bigger they are the worse they are with prices.
I will say though that I did have two women on two different days who are customers who are very friendly from the area. They didn't work for Walmart. They were just very kind and spoke to me welcoming to the city. So you serve a customer base that is warm and welcoming.
I just wonder why Walmart...

I waited 10 minutes and no one came. I then asked again and got zero help. The product I needed was a product for nails that cost and I kid not, $6. A $6 product was locked. And I tried to get help to unlock the $6 product for 35 minutes. I then saw a woman stocking the product somewhere else on a rack and reached out to add the $6 product to my basket. She reached back and took it from me like I was going to steal it. I had just come from an event and was dressed nicely and had no pockets on any part of my body. Again.. a $6 product. She then told me I was done shopping and needed to check out immediately. I wasnāt done but after the horrific experience I decided to go to target oh where the product was $8 but I was able to purchase it in 2 minutes so I bought 5 of them. Anyways I went to checkout and they switched Cashiers midway. My new cashier had no clue I was even buying the nail product and had to check with someone else. By the time I finished I had spent 45 minutes trying to purchase a $6 product. This was absolutely absurd and an extremely trashy experience even for Walmart. Only going to target from now on even if I spend more on drug store items. The store treats everyone like drug addicted thieves and it makes a horrific experience for customers. I would have spent $75 getting 10 of that product, but I couldnāt even buy one! I never write reviews but this was so bad I had to write one. A family member shopped at the same time I did, but on the other side of the store and had a separate horrible experience within that same trip! Never ever...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf it's cat food or litter you seek, don't go to #Walmart Keene. Plus the price of every brand of wet cat food they carry has increased by 0.10 cents. as it has everywhere. PC is most overpriced. I found a great deal(honestly I don't want to share) but FF Petites are 0.98 cents! This price increased o.12 cents in 5 days. I found a great clearance deal from $29.95 to $5.00 for N.H. hooded long sleeves. Thinner material, perfect for spring. The gentleman at express check-out was very friendly when I asked him to confirm price as they were marked $15.00. $5.00 was correct. I thanked him, stating wow what a great deal. He was very friendly & it was busy at self check-out. He never made me feel rushed & was happy to assist me. My visit to Keene Walmart was a last minute decision. I had to have replacements for all my cards. I was panicked about certain bills. My bank has a feature where you can either deposit or withdraw funds at Walmart. My bank provides me with a bar code that the customer service desk scans to complete your transaction with no fee! Janet was working the customer service desk at 7:47pm. Janet is a very kind, friendly and knowledgeable employee. Between my call to inquire if I was able to complete my transaction & when I arrived, that system went down. Janet said it could work again in 5 minutes. While she assisted other customers, I was reviewing my banks App as to other options and Janet pulls me out of my trance to its working, hurry before it goes down!! I had no idea that she was checking the system continuously while helping others. Janet is a valued employee. I also posted a photo of a Sell your phone machine in the entrance. A...
