I decided to drive up to Hoffman Boots Store in Kellogg to try and pick up a pair of Pac boots. Once at the store I was met by Will. I told him I did not know much about the Pac boots but I wanted a set for hunting and walking in the snow. I explained to him that I wanted ankle support. He spent quite a bit of time with me picking out samples for me to try on and explaining options that they could build for me. I settled on a style and options and I asked if they could build them that day? He brought out Deborah who was very nice. She explained the materials that they had on hand and what she could build for me. After some discussion we ended up with a style to be built. My wife and I headed for breakfast. When we got back to the store the Pac boots were done and ready for pick up. I had wonderful service from Will and Deborah and am enjoying the finished product. I should say that while I was discussing Pac boots my wife saw a set of hiking boots that she could not live without. Once again Will stepped in to show her some of the available options and to pick out boots in her size. This was a wonderful buying experience and I would recommend them in the future. ...
Read moreFirst and last boots I buy from Hoffman and a shame since I was looking at a second pair. I bought the meindl san ramons for work (I spend most of my time in the job office). I called before buying and the woman seemed cagey when I asked about warranty. She said boots don’t really need warranty because people who have issues are just using them way more than is typical which is clearly what she is coached to say. I live in Alaska so its not like I can easily ship them back if there is an issue. The sizes on their meindl boots are not marked as Euro sizes but thats what they are so they were a size too big. After almost 3 months, I start feeling something weird in the toe and the liner is coming off inside and sticking into the toe box. I call them up and get told the only way they can tell me if my boots will get warrantied is if I can email them a picture or send the boots back. She couldn’t just say “yeah, boots with failing liners can be warrantied”. No answer from either of the two emails, no answer on the phone, and now my 90 days expires over the weekend while they’re closed. I see why they get a...
Read moreI just discovered Hoffman Boots while searching for quality USA Made boots. I was surprised to find out they had a "brick & mortar." I went to check them out and everybody was nice and knew the products well. Christy was very helpful in assisting me into the right pair of boots. This review is ONLY for the place, not the boots, as I've only had them for a little over a week, but I do really dig them alot although they're not broken in yet. Hoffman seems to be a good American made company and if these boots happen to NOT last me a lifetime, I'll probably get another pair from them one day. They are nice folks with a seemingly high-quality product and priced significantly less than many, if not most, other American Made, heavy-duty work boot makers. My 10" Hoffman Vibrams did not feel very good when I first put them on but it's been a week and I've ridden 1,400 miles in them in a week, camping in the forest every night and they are breaking in nicely. If you wish to support your fellow Americans while gaining a good-looking quality product at a very fair price, you might consider...
