The Mushroom Cap — Local services in Kennett Square

This visit started sweet and ended sour. The woman that helped us choose our mushrooms was very nice and helpful, with great suggestions. Thank you! Then we got to the counter. Our total was a little over $6 and the woman at the counter (the owner!) Asked if we had cash. When my husband said that he didn't, she rolled her eyes and said "Really?...." Yes, really. We had just used the last of our cash. After making a big deal about using our debit card, she made an under her breath comment saying "well everyone should have twenty bucks in their wallet"... Um thanks mom. If i had been alone, you would have lost the sale for talking to a customer like that. By the way, If you're so worried about people buying your products in cash (or at all), you should pull that expired Stonewall Kitchen...

I needed a great gift for a close friend that is a gourmet chef and also has her own high end catering company.

We both love mushrooms so I googled and found the Mushroom Cap and had a great conversation with Cathy about my interest and my concerns.

I quickly realized she got it and I set up a 6 month subscription for my friend to get fresh gourmet mushrooms each month.

She loved them and used for both her catering as well as for her family and friends.

The packaging and cards were Great each time!

Can't say enough about the Cap. Drove all the way from Tom's River, NJ. The lady in the back informed us about fresh mushrooms, the lady at the counter makes her shroom salad. Please visit there if you LOVE MUSHROOMS. The drinking glasses, Christmas ornaments, fresh mushrooms marinated, or actual Fresh MUSHROOMS. Has a small informative display in the back how shrooms are cultivated and a lot of interesting labels from the growers and all the stores they've provided for. Check it out! I loved it. Made a special trip and loved this store with great workers, and I'm only 41....
