It was awful, I was bringing a purse back. That I brought in Las Vegas Macy's. My receipt said I could return it by January 31, 2021. So I stood in line at returns, the line was getting long, so the clerks told us we could go to any register for our returns, so I went to the lingerie department register, and she said I can't take it you must go to the purse department register, so I did, that clerk said wait here I don't know how to do this so I must go get another clerk, so then another clerk came by and she told that register was closed, I told her the other clerk told me to stay there and she would go get help. She said well that register is closed, to go around the corner to the other one. So I did and there was the clerk that was suppose to get help, and she said go back and she would bring help, so I told her the other clerk told me it was closed, and she no its not close go back. So she did bring another clerk, I showed her how the purse fell apart. She said we will not take it back, we do not guarantee purses or jewelry. And she said even the manager couldn't over ride it. So I read what my receipt said that I could return it by January 31, 2021. She said well I will try but I know the register won't let me do it, we'll it did. And she gave me a gift card. Which I used in the lingerie department. They wouldn't let me try it on, but told me I could return it if the size was not right. Well quess what it is the wrong size and I am dreading to return to your store for a exchange. I was in your store approximately an hour just doing this transition....
Read moreBEWARE! For starters, I was double charged for a coat at Vancouver Macy's. I made repeated calls to customer service to get the credit for the double charge to my account, this was a month ago!
Now this is where customer service comes in, or should I say lack of "customer service"! The coat was the wrong size. So thinking, like most retailer's I could just exchange it.......Wrong!
Macy's in Kennewick WA was less than helpful with my simple exchange! I was treated like I stole the coat. When I explained that "Macy's Customer care had assured me, Macy's in Kennewick could just have one of their other stores send me the right size.......Wrong again!
This was the only good thing about having the charge on my "Macy's" credit card, making a paper trail of my purchase, I was able to prove that I was not some vagrant from off the street.
Kennewick Macy's sent me on my way, giving me a song and dance about their "Back Stage" line had no SKU numbers for them to identify their merchandise.........Reallly?
How, in this day and age of technology, is this even possible?
The Manager of the department came over and spent some time staring at the monitor and gave me this helpful information. "Drive 3 hours, back to Vancouver "Macy's" to make my simple exchange! This type of customer service has reminded me why I stopped Shopping at Macy's so...
Read moreThis place has not changed. There are some salespersons that you may approach and they assist you with courtesy and knowledge. They have proven to be a minority over the years. I seldom shop at Macy's because we do not buy many clothes or household items. I avoided Macy's for years because of outrageous service. Macy's does have perhaps the only serious perfume and Cologne offering on the TriCities. I returned after years of avoiding the disgusting service and what do you think occurred?
I am elderly and not fashionably dressed. Levi's a collared shirt and a jacket. Clean, shaven and graying hair. Therefore I seem to be judged as a poor prospect to spend hundreds of dollars at the counter. Wrong!
I have spent several hundred dollars on cologne, hundreds on perfume and thousands on jewelry for my wife. I do spend money. But apparently since the sales ladies look at me, searching for Versace Blue, turns away and starts chatting with her friend, I am not a customer looking for a product.
I left. I will not be back. Penny's customer service in the Women's beauty section is the same. Glanced at and ignored. Penny's perfume selection are few and a lot of knock off...
