I'm giving 3 stars and I think being pretty generous. I placed an online order of 4 or 5 items I wanted my husband to pick up because this location is near his work. He hadn't received the email yet but he went in and asked about it. The slightly negative review isn't because it wasn't ready yet. I understand that its around the holidays and they are busy. This review is in regards to the customer service. They more or less told him they were busy, he could go wait in his car for the email? I then called and was told the same thing. I pointed out that he was there now so could she at least look into it and see if someone was possibly working on the order or if I should have him just grab what I needed cause you know he was physically in the store now. She seemed very put out by my request but did check on it and yeah he would have basically been waiting for a couple hours. If they had checked on it right away when he inquired about the order this review would have been very different. He also mentioned the store was very disorganized compared to the other location we go to more frequently. I get it, the holidays are a stressful time to be in retail but its still kind of your job to be helpful to customers? Just a thought. I'm very disappointed and would probably not return to...

We lapped the store several times searching for the one employee that was working on the floor to ask for help, and when we finally got her attention she sent us in the wrong direction. When I tried to go back and tell her that we already had checked there, she was walking away and and ignoring me. We kept trying to get her attention and she would not help us and didn’t seem to know much about the store. We finally went up to the cash register and the lady behind the register walked us to the body paint and was super helpful. However, what should have been a quick trip lasted over an hour and was very unsatisfying. You need to hire more employees for your store! But since things have no price labels on them, we had to wait till we got to the cashier to assess whether I had brought enough money. Because of course I was only going to spend twice what I'd budgeted--because my grandson.
Katie was our cashier and she was wonderful. Despite being the only cashier in line, she took the time to scan each item and tell me what the cost was so I could decide whether or not to keep something or put it back.
Totally customer focused and I really appreciate it.
And if for some reason you don't know, Michael's is a wonderful store for buying crafts, and art supplies--Cricuts, wool, balsa wood, paint, fimo, framing, cake decorating, and holiday specials.
