Ethan Allen — Local services in Kentwood

I would not do business with Ethan Allen again for several reasons.

1. Designer Thressa is great with the design but makes to many promises that are not being kept. When I first met with her I mentioned that my daughter was coming for a visit in about 4 weeks and I was told by her "We should be able to get this done during that time frame. We will have to put a rush on it. We had met on a Tuesday and before she left she asked me if I were available that Saturday to go over the estimate. Well, Saturday arrived an no word from Thressa. It took about 2 weeks to get an estimate. Well, we have 4 month later and today the last window treatments were installed except my draperies for the bedroom because they are light filtering and I specifically told her that I want black outs.
2. Thressa came with the installer to re-measure the windows. While the installer re-measured the windows Thressa and I went over area rugs for several rooms and she was supposed the have the estimate to me within a couple of days. A month later and I still had no estimate. Sometimes she would return your calls other times she did not.
3. Ethan Allen does not give you a breakdown of the charges. Every other company would give you a cost breakdown and item description per window. I have asked several times and was told Ethan Allen does not provide the breakdown. Why,....are they hiding hidden fee's. So if I ever have issues with just one of the windows,...such as my living room I would not know what model # it is or what the cost would be to replace. This type of pricing would be more acceptable if all your window treatments were the same but they are not. I had shutters installed and different type of shades such as roller shades, banded shades, etc.

The quality of the products are excellent but that is were it stops. Also, the installers were awesome but they are subs and do not work for...

If you plan on getting new furniture, I highly suggest an Ethan Allen product. The quality and the craftsmanship are over the top. Yes, it may cost you a little more upfront, but in the long run, you will be much happier. We just acquired a kitchen table. We are extremely happy with the deal that we got on ours.

I had a few questions about the table and I dealt with Shannon over the phone. Shannon not only answered all of my questions, but she was very clear in explaining the value of a quality product. If you make it to the store, I would highly suggest finding her. I can assure you that she will definitely take care of you.

To the management at Ethan Allen whatever you were paying Shannon it is not enough. She is an asset to your company, you are extremely fortunate she chose to join your team. People like Shannon are going to make it anywhere they find themselves. Better take care of her. Only...
