Wild Birds Unlimited — Local services in Kerrville

Today we participated in a limited audience overview of native wild flowers and woody plants and the pollinators attracted to these various varieties. The event was hosted by the owners of this Birds Unlimited Linda and Kevin Pillow. Dakota assisted us in making reservations. The presenter was Mr. Craig Hensley, a native naturalist. Craig is very knowledgeable regarding the Texas plants and their pollinators. Especially interesting was Craig’s insight into the methods each plant and pollinator employ to signal the readiness to pollinate and also “when the well” was dry as having already being pollinated - don’t waste your time and energy to pollinate...... one of many things I would never have known or thought about. Thank you to the Hosts and Mr. Hensley for the enjoyable trip through our native surroundings and the mechanics off...

I stopped in to pick up a hummingbird feeder while visiting a relative in Kerrville. I was greeted by two of the nicest, friendliest young people I've encountered in a very long time. Dakota & Garrett are what makes a store owner beam with pride. If either, or both, move to Houston, then I want either or both to work with me at Pineforest Jewelry in Houston!!! I'm 73, and tough on millennials (because they normally make it that way) so giving a 5 STAR REVIEW to millennials is generally very hard to do. Because you two are in that upper 5% of your age group, I'm going out of my way to thank you for being there for me. Keep setting an example for the others....

Kevin and his gang put customer service at the top of the list. If you want to see how a small business (or large for that matter) should be run, stop by, watch and listen.
