Title: A Heartfelt Thank You to the Exceptional Staff at Hampton Inn, Key Largo, Florida

As I sit down to express my gratitude, words seem inadequate to convey the depth of appreciation my wife and I feel towards the staff at Hampton Inn in Key Largo, Florida. Our recent stay at your establishment was not just a typical hotel experience; it was an extraordinary journey of warmth, hospitality, and genuine care that touched our hearts in profound ways.

From the moment we stepped foot into the lobby, we were greeted with smiles that radiated genuine warmth, setting the tone for the rest of our stay. It was evident that the exceptional service we received was not just a matter of routine but a testament to the dedication and passion of the entire team, led by the remarkable manager, Chris Christina.

Chris Christina's leadership shines through in every aspect of the hotel's operations. It's clear that she goes above and beyond to instill a culture of excellence, where each staff member is empowered to deliver exceptional service. O'Lyvia, Jolanyne, Erta, and especially Anjie exemplified this ethos throughout our stay, making every interaction memorable with their gracious attitudes and attention to detail.

Anjie, in particular, went out of her way to ensure that my wife's birthday celebration was nothing short of magical. Her thoughtful gestures and personal touches truly made the occasion special, creating memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. It's rare to encounter someone who genuinely cares about the happiness of guests, and Anjie's dedication is a testament to the caliber of individuals that make up your team.

Beyond the impeccable service, Hampton Inn's location in Key Largo is a slice of paradise in itself. The beauty of the Florida Keys surrounds you, enhancing the overall experience and making it a destination worth revisiting. We wholeheartedly agree with the recommendation to stay in Key Largo when visiting Key West – indeed, it's a smart move that allows you to savor the tranquility and natural splendor of the area.

Our stay at Hampton Inn, Key Largo, exceeded all expectations, thanks to the outstanding staff who made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. It's rare to encounter such genuine hospitality in today's fast-paced world, and we are truly grateful for the warmth and kindness extended to us throughout our stay.

In closing, I want to extend our sincerest thanks to Chris Christina and her exceptional team for creating an unforgettable experience for us. Your dedication to excellence sets a standard that others should aspire to, and we feel fortunate to have experienced it firsthand. We look forward to returning to Key Largo in the future, knowing that we'll be welcomed with open arms by the wonderful staff at Hampton Inn.

Extremely Disappointing and Unacceptable Experience

Our recent stay here was nothing short of a disaster. This trip was planned as a surprise birthday getaway, but the reality fell far short of our expectations. Upon check-in, we were immediately greeted by a musty smell in our room. Despite having reservations, we couldn't address this issue right away.

When we finally returned to the hotel, we approached the front desk about the problem. They offered us another room but warned us that they couldn't guarantee it would be any better. Reluctantly, we checked out the new room, only to be welcomed by a noxious smell akin to WD40 and motor oil. When we asked for further alternatives, the hotel staff astonishingly suggested we purchase Febreze ourselves.

Concerned for our health, given the moldy conditions, I contacted the third-party booking platform I used to make the reservation. They informed me that I would have to wait until 9 am the next morning to speak with the manager. I expressed my concerns to them, and shortly afterward, the hotel finally agreed to switch our room.

While the new room smelled better, it still left much to be desired in terms of cleanliness. There were clear signs of mold on the tile grout, tears in the furniture, and a persistent dripping sound from the ceiling of the bathroom made our stay far from pleasant.

On the following day, after a morning away, we found that our room keys no longer worked. A call to the front desk resulted in being instructed to return to the lobby to have new keys made, despite having all our beach belongings with us. Even the 'new' key cards provided still did not function properly.

We had to call the front desk once more to send someone to assist us. Our troubles didn't end there, as we also discovered that the conditioner in the room had not been refilled from the previous guest.

Throughout this ordeal, there was one shining beacon of helpfulness in the form of Stephanie. She consistently went above and beyond to assist us, from providing hair conditioner because the room's bottle was empty to personally delivering extra towels. Stephanie's dedication was a welcome contrast to the overall...

We arrived Feb 21, 2025, planning on staying for a week-long vacation. We were first given room #133. As soon as we entered the room, we noticed a musty smell. The A/C wasn't working. When my wife tried to open the sliding glass door, we noticed it wasn't latched, and the secondary lock was broken. We called the front desk, and Julieanne (she was the one bright spot), had maintenance come over. Ernst, got the A/C working, but couldn't repair the sliding glass door. His solution was to bring a piece of wood to lay in the track and prevent the door from opening. BUT, he brought a piece of wood approximately 10 inches to long, and said it was fixed. WRONG - any child could have given the door a tug from the outside and the wood would slide away and the door open. We truly felt unsafe in the unsecured room. There were more issues with this room: the TV remote was sticky; my guess is someone spilled a coke on it. I called Julieanne back and she moved us to another room, #244. More problems, listed below: layers of dust on the ceiling fan layers of dust on the bed frame no bulb in outside patio fixture, only EXPOSED WIRES (possible fire hazard) numerous stains on lamp shades also, on a walk around the property, we found RAT TRAPS alongside the rear of the building. We needed a place to stay for a night until we could find other accommodations, and Julieanne let us cancel the remaining 6 days of our 7-day vacation. BUT, we were still charged $347.63 for one night! We were very disappointed. We have stayed at numerous Hampton Inn's in the past, and always had a positive experience. Not this time. I thing we deserve a...

I stay at Hampton hotels frequently as we have been Diamond members for years. The location of this hotel is excellent. However, for $380/night, it needs better mattresses, updating & better amenities. The mattress was hard as a rock with no pillowtop. My back was killing me. This is a dog friendly hotel which is fine with me. Many people had dogs, but they were all great. The bathroom exhaust fan did not work as evidenced by the mold in the shower (with a very small half piece of glass). It was difficult to keep water from splashing out. The back of the door paint was peeling badly. The TV is not smart & did not even have a menu. The breakfast was basically waffles, stale bread for toast and tiny boiled eggs that were impossible to peel. They did have a bar on the beach right outside our door & you can rent kayaks. I believe it is $25 for 1 hour & $55 for 4 hours. You can launch them right there on the hotel beach. Some of the lounge chairs seats were torn & they do not have enough of them. They are all on the beach & few if any left at pool. You can swim right there at the beach. It is very calm & nice with a great view of sunset. The people next door to us played loud music & were sitting outside partying loudly until late. I finally stuck my head out & they said they would keep the noise down. Everyone else was very quiet. They only clean rooms every other day so you have to ask for clean, dry towels. If you live in a humid climate you know towels do not dry overnight. The AC worked great. We paid same for the Hampton in Key West & KW hotel is in much better condition.

Really decent hotel. Gym is pretty good. Neat little “beach”. Less a beach more of a cool area to chill. Tiki bar. We just stayed our first night no complaints. Already saw some manatee from the beach. Continental breakfast is pretty average. They could do better with the amount of area they have for that its a nice set up but the food is well free. Lol Edit- the breakfast changes every day and has been better since the first day every time very pleased with this now….the manatee are around all day from the hotel we have seen dolphins, a crocodile, tons of iguanas and a billion manatee….all from the beach. The staff has been even better they check if you need anything via text daily, the front desk hooked me up with free water bottles just because I was tomato red. I caught fish from the hotel beach with the rod rental. One of the tour boat guides that i believe is staffed by the hotel was nice enough to identify the fish for me give me some tips and tons of local info even tho we didnt take his tour. Everyone here is so friendly the maintenance guys you see around are all awesome. 10/10. Stay here and save your money dont pay for a manatee tour. Stay here. Also get you a double spiced mojito at the tiki bar they make a great one. The sunsets here are to die for. I dont want to leave. Side note: avoid “the catch”. Restaurant across the street. Go to pilots house restaurant and marina! Amazing food and views. Or the lazy lobster for a bit more upscale the lobster there is amazing.

We stayed in room 140 and it was absolutely filthy upon arrival and had a broken toilet seat, chunks coming off bathroom door, dust/hair covered ceiling fan and ac vents, a telephone that you could probably catch the plague from it was so dirty, holes in ceiling, black dots/mold bathroom ceiling, damaged pictures frames, dirty microwave, dirty outlets, etc. I showed up with my kids (one crawling) and was disgusted. I began cleaning what I could, but got frustrated. I went down to the front desk and showed them the pictures. The front desk was accommodating and helpful and sent housekeeping and I had to point out all that was dirty. They sent maintenance to clean the ac vents and put a new toilet seat on. Sent in housekeeping to tidy up. They dusted the fan and brushed off the dust that fell onto the bedspread onto the floor. They said the “bedspread was fine because it was just changed that day.” I didn’t have the energy to ask for clean bedding but did ask that they would at least vacuum the dust off of the floor so my baby wouldn’t eat it. They cleaned and it was “better” but this was not up to Hampton Inn/Hilton standards at all. The ac unit sounded like a car starting the room every time it kicked on. The pool was so hot it gave no reprieve from the hot weather. If traveling with little ones, please, make note that there are no bathtubs at this hotel. After staying 4 nights here I wouldn’t recommend; spend your money elsewhere.
