Gym itself is fine. My fiancée and I moved and he called and spoke to Chrissy about cancelling our accounts on August 14. She informed him she could not cancel them over the phone and provided an email address for us to send our request to. I sent mine on August 15 and have the confirmation of it being sent in my email. I noticed my account did not get cancelled and I’ve continued to be charged. I called yesterday and Chrissys narrative is completely contradictory. Chrissy claims my she asked my fiancée if he wanted to cancel my account in which he said no. I informed her he had me go sign us up for a different gym the same day he spoke to her about cancelling our accounts and that we signed up on a couples plan so it made no sense why he would say no. In addition she is claiming my email never got there but what is most frustrating is she wouldn’t even entertain the idea that maybe there was an issue as to why just quick to reiterate it never sent despite my evidence. The worst part is my membership got transferred to an out of town gym due my membership never being closed. She also told me yesterday she closed my fiancées account over the phone when he called, despite her telling him she couldn’t do that and I also have the text message he sent me from after the phone call indicating it couldn’t be done over the phone and we had to email them. He called her today to try and rectify the situation in which she continued to share her perspective and magically she said she received his email but not mine. It is also concerning that she would have taken his word for closing my count… so she says… when our memberships are not even connected and I wouldn’t have given any form of consent.
Everyone is busy and a human and things get missed but the complete disregard of any other possibility than Chrissy is right and we are wrong is ridiculous. If we hadn’t moved I would leave the gym anyways after...
