Update to the following below: 3/27. Received a call from the manager. Said he would replace it for $600. I told him I only had it for two weeks, there should be no reason for it to happen. He then said they didn't feel at fault and then said "and you also left us a Google review and it feels like you're trying to bully us". When he said that, I felt uneasy and it to be the other way around. I explained to him I always leave reviews for everything, even Amazon, good or bad, and I told him I was very factual in my review and didn't at all think it was nasty, just factual. He then explained the heart shape diamond only has three prongs and it can happen easier than I think. My original ring ten years ago was a heart shaped diamond and that didn't happen in two weeks. It happened in five years after heavily wearing it, purchased at Kay Jewelers. He then told me about a week or so later to come in, because there would be two diamonds I can choose from. I asked him if it would be the same quality. Nope. First one was .77 ct, this one 75. The diamonds were ok but definitely not the same quality. I use to stare at my original ring. It shimmered with different hues. The ones he gave me to choose from looked duller and smaller. Considering I hadn't gotten insurance yet in the short time on the original diamond, I was at his mercy. I selected from the two and paid the $600. I went in with my husband. I also showed the manager that I bought a pink heart shaped $30 Amazon ring in the meantime to see if that stone would fall out. He nodded. He still charged me. He told me he would call me when it was mounted and ready to be picked up. When I went to pick it up, he wasn't there. The lady who remembered the whole situation and sold me my original ring apologized again and was very kind. I thanked her and told her I would have been happier without being charged and her and I both know what the original diamond looked like, the quality. Her response: I know, was really surprised about that but then softened her statement by saying "probably because it was hard to get another one cut to the shape of a heart". I recorded both times. Recorder in purse, purse on the counter in case of any further surprises. I have pictures of the original.I'm happy to have another stone but not in love with the beauty of it compared to the other. What was my Valentine Birthday present that meant the world to me, turned into a stressful nail biting event. This time, we got insurance immediately. FYI, they are not accredited through Better Business Bureau. Original post: I will edit the review as time goes by but for now, I will say we had a diamond ring on layaway for quite a long time. We picked it up on my birthday. In two weeks, the diamond was missing from the prongs. I was super paranoid with this ring. I often put it in jewelry box when doing yard work and was always looking at it. I loved it so much and waited ten years to replace my original engagement ring. We looked everywhere but there was no doubt it fell out when we went out for dinner. There's NO reason this should happen so easily. It was there for the first part of the night and fell out sometime after. Noticed it when I got home. The staff has always been nice. So far the update from them is that they are trying to find a replacement. I've been sick to my stomach and barely sleeping. Hoping this will be...
Read moreI ordered my husband a new wedding ring, to replace his broken one. The purchase was made on Black Friday and I was told that it would definitely be here with plenty of time before Christmas. I made several calls to the store, at least once a week, to be told that it would be there on the next Saturday. Three days before Christmas I ended up sending my husband to the store himself so he could ask where his ring is. It’s at that point he was told that it was on back order and would be there soon. It was bad enough that I was never told with the many times I called them, keeping in mind that I had called so often that I was getting attitude on the phone every time I asked, but my husband was leaving a couple of days after Christmas. I was repeatedly told that “when it comes in they would call me,” with attitude every single time. They tried to give him one that was way too big, for the time being, but his first time seeing his new ring was at their store trying on a larger size that kept flying off. I never even got to see his reaction to the new ring. I have made purchases through many different jewelry companies in the past and never has there been such a disconnect to the point that here we are almost two weeks after Christmas and I’m once again being told that it will be here later this week. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. I wanted to give a smaller company a chance, but never again will I give this one my business. I could have had his ring already if I had paid the higher mark ups at Jared’s. If the ring finally comes in, BIG IF, and it’s not perfect I’m getting my money back and going to a more...
Read moreHonestly, I would give no stars if I could. I left my pearl whale tail necklace with them because when they cleaned it, the pearl fell off. No problem, I completely understand that. They kept the necklace to reattach the pearl, what they didn't tell me was that the pearl broke in half. Instead of informing me or offering to replace their mistake, they glued the pearl and acted like it never happened. I know that they glued it because last night the pearl fell off because of the split, it made the contact point weak to the whale tail charm. The jeweler that I took the necklace to today confirmed that the pearl was glued back together. I had no knowledge of this at all. To replace the pearl (because of the color and shape the pearl was considered high quality) it cost me $80 and $40 to have it repaired. So overall, this Jewelers mistake cost me $120 and I won't have my necklace back for two weeks while it's shipped out for repairs. Which upsets me more because of the sentimental value of the necklace. I wouldn't have done this review or been so mad if they were just honest with me up front and worked with me to fix the mistake, instead of trying to...
