The WORST experience I’ve ever had anywhere... their delivery was awful. Called my order in at 6:44pm they told me it would be delivered within 45 minutes to an hour, no problem. Then at the hour and 15 minute mark I called and they told me the food was out for delivery and I said okay thank you then hung up. Then after the 2 hour mark I called back again.. their response was “I couldn’t find your address so I came back..” okay now I’m a little mad but still want the food so I said okay I can meet you at the front office. I said okay no problem thank you. Hung up.. I thought about it for a few minutes and by this time it’s been 2 hours and 23 minutes since I called, so I called them back and asked them if they were going to remake the pizza because I didn’t want cold pizza. I heard a guy in the background get aggravated (like it’s my fault they messed up..) and asked me if I want my order or not. I said word for word “yes sir I still want my food I just want it hot like it would have been if you delivered it the first time.” He said I guess we can remake it so I agreed and told him I would come pick it up. I leave about 20 minutes after the call (I live about 7 minuets from the place) thinking it would just be getting done or I would have to wait a moment but nothing to long.. haha I thought wrong... my food was not there... they sent it out for delivery again after I told them I was picking it up. The girl at the register told the owner that I told them I was picking it up and she knew it and she told the delivery driver and he took it anyways.. so now it’s 9:25 pm and still no food... so eventually my food shows back up and he offers me a discount and I was like okay great thanks.. it was a whole $3..... yes I said $3.. like what is that covering? Not even the tax.. I spent almost $40 for cold pizza that took almost 3 hours to get... the owner said I’m sorry everything went wrong and please come back. I asked him so the driver was out trying to “find” my address for an hour correct? He said yes he almost used up a whole tank of gas. I said okay and y’all took my number down when I ordered correct? He said yes. So then I asked okay why didn’t y’all call me? I could have meet him somewhere.. he looked shocked like I was speaking a different language and waited a moment before he came up with (as I watched him turn the phone off) oh I had phone trouble... haha okay yea definitely NOT EVER going back there!...
Read moreThe atmosphere is fun and inviting, service is good and the food is mediocre. I didn't try their pizza this time around, but I'd probably come back just to try that. It seems like pizza might be the best option to get here, as a lot of people were ordering pizza.
I've come to the bar here several times after dinner hours for drinks with family and friends. It's always a vibe. Good drinks, great music and a place that locals seem to love on the weekend. So I definitely recommend coming here for that (plus a dance floor inside and pool table outside if you're into that).
This particular night I came in for dinner with the fam, and the food just didn't hit the spot. It was pretty busy with people enjoying dinner and watching the football game (plenty of TV screens here). I noticed a lot of people ordered pizza, which I probably should have followed.
Instead, I ordered the tortellini pasta and added shrimp. It came with a side salad which was probably the only fresh thing I had. The garlic bread it came with didn't have enough butter nor garlic on it. The pasta was a standard store-bought pasta that didn't have much filling. Although the sauce tasted good, I could have used more of it on my plate. And the shrimp wasn't fresh (I could tell it was from a frozen package). I mean it's partly my fault for ordering this at a pizza joint.
I also tasted a bite of everyone else's dishes and everything was just mediocre. The Caribbean flatbread my sister ordered didn't really have a Caribbean taste in my opinion; it just tasted like a bunch of cheese and chicken. My mom's lemon pepper wings were cooked perfectly, but could have used more lemon pepper flavor. The ranch sauce was so bland. My brother seemed to enjoy his chicken wrap though, so that's a plus. I tried one of his onion rings and that was probably the best thing on the table.
Overall, I rate the food 3-stars. The friendly service and lively family atmosphere made the experience better. I appreciated seeing the owner zip around delivering food along with the servers.
I hope to come back and update my review to a better rating after trying something else...
Read moreMy friends and family have been coming here for years, and the food and the employees are great at this location. For a while now, we've only tried to come here for lunch and avoid dinner because of the atmosphere. Every night we've ever tried to eat here, there is a live band or trivia, which is not a problem if the volume wasn’t so loud that you couldn’t hear yourself think. We tried eating here with a friend a few nights ago around 9 pm. Everything started out great until the DJ came out, shut off all of the lights, and started to play music so loud we couldn’t even carry on a conversation anymore. Attached below is a photo of how dark it was once the DJ started. Multiple tables of people started leaving once the noise started. The other image is of the flyer they had hung all around the dining area advertising that they would be showing the UFC 300 fight. Last night, we brought a large group of friends, and we all ordered a lot of food and drinks expecting to be able to enjoy the fights. A very loud band was playing, but they were packing up and leaving soon, so we assumed the fight audio would be turned on after they left. Nope. As soon as they left, the DJ came to set up, lights off and music so loud it gave me a headache. We all closed our tab and left. We saw a few other people also leave that were obviously there for the fight. Definitely would have stayed and continued to buy more drinks and food if we could actually enjoy our time here. If they just turned the volume down when they had live music, it would be better. And I understand having a DJ because of how late they stay open and want people to drink and have a good time, but when all of your customers at the time are just friends or families trying to have dinner, read the room. At least turn it down a little until it gets later. It also doesn’t make sense to advertise you will be showing the UFC 300 and then have a DJ the same night so that no one can hear the TV or the person sitting right...
