Big Lots — Local services in Kinston

Great store and great prices. This is one of my favorite stores however, there should be more than one cash register open, especially when there are long lines and plenty of employees there. Speaking of many employees, the staff is great! The only issue is that there are too many employees standing around not doing much, but won't dare open up a second register with the exception of the holidays. Also, when purchasing snacks, drinks or food products, please be careful to check the expiration date. Sometimes biglots don't stock fresh products. I can't tell you the countless times when I have purchased some chips and other items and the expiration date has passed. Some products should be discounted even more since there are items that are bashed in with minor damage. There are some electronics and cooking items/products that are defective. One time I brought my relative a deep fryer and it only lasted 2-3 weeks. The deep fryer split in the middle when she was cooking. There are dust on some on the products. I hadn't been in a Big Lots for 2 or 3 years and was pleasantly surprised by the amount and variety of merchandise they carried! They have furniture,household goods,clothing,food items,dog food& other items for dogs, electronics and so much more! We were there to get things to stock/ supply our camper we just purchased an using Progressive Leasing as our form of payment.The cashier/ store associate (Pam) was very friendly and professional,even when we had to remove things that Progressive didn't pay for- (which was quite confusing) she was patient and smiled an laughed with us thru the whole process.Big Lots should be proud to have an employee like Pam representing their store! Nice thing are offered and prices competitive and thank for the rent-to- own offered. I paid off my items in less than month with no problems. However, please fix your spyware on the laptop so customers can read the full contact before signing they have read the contract when your system will not allow and your employees in department have one to allow to read and do not fully now the rules. The reason I stated this is when I ask could this contract be paid off in less than a month your employees state no and the company employees when call stated it could be paid off without any problems in three months but my was paid in less than a month.
