AVOID! AVOID!! AVOID!!! Bought a recliner in Dec, have had it months and have been able to use it for about 6 weeks. After delivery, used it for 3 weeks and the mechanism jammed. Waited 2 weeks for a tech. Couldn't repair. Waited another week for service to pick up. They had it two weeks, brought it back still broken, took it back for another 10 days and returned again. Had it less than a month and the mechanism jammed again. Waited another 10 days for a tech. Not repairable. Called the local store (Kinston) 4 days later. Completely unaware, but will call back in 24-48 hrs. Called 3 days later. Again, they thought it was resolved, but will call back today or tomorrow. Called again today (3 days later) and they still thought it had been resolved. Waited while the sale woman called "Chip" in Jacksonville. He said they were ordering parts and to tell me they didn't know how long it would take. She gave me his name and number and said I should call him. 10 mins later and "I don't know if he's in today." Really? The merchandise is garbage. Service is slow and ineffective. No one knows what anyone is doing (if anything). And I've had a broken recliner sitting in my front room, completely unusable, for 3.5 months out of the last 5. Go anywhere...

I changed my review to 3 stars because the person I did deal with was very nice and helpful, but unfortunately I wont be buying anything from then again. ORIGINAL Post: I purchased a desk online in January 2023, it is now November and I haven't recieved it. They haven't called to update me on the status either. When my husband called they told us it hadn't even been ordered with the manufacturer and that we would need to order it. So now i need to track down my furniture, order it from a supplier, and pick it up? The whole reason I went online is because they mark up the prices in the store and they don't honor online pricing. I'm going to attempt to get a refund, but we will see...
Read moreThis store is a complete rip off..... My mother and I was attempting to purchase a bed (headboard/frame/foot board) and mattresses. I was paying for one and she was paying for the other however the items were going to the same home. The salesman informed us it would be a $150.00 charge for each item to be delivered. If it was not bad enough that they were charging a $150.00 to delivery to a home that is less than 2 miles from the store, but for each item is ridiculous, just bad business. By the way, I was paying with a check, so the salesman indicated it would be a 10 day hold on all checks. "Why" in today's time would a business need to do that? So off to Babcock Furniture Store we go and got the same if not better items for less with a $60.00 delivery...
