Horrible Experience with Lilly!!

This review is not specific to the salon, but only towards Lilly. And as much as I feel bad about doing this, I want to give others a heads up so they don't have the same experience. I found Lilly through Groupon and was interested in the cut and balayage offered. I reached out to her directly to see if there were any additional fees because that was not mentioned on the Groupon ad. I was certain with my thick, curly, long hair there would be additional fees so I asked her specifically before purchasing. She told me there were no extra fees and that there was no need to purchase the Groupon and that she would honor their price. No additional questions were asked to me prior to my appointment. I drove over a half hour to my appointment . The moment I arrived I had a bad vibe from her. She questioned why I was there early when I was only 10 mins early, for some reason she thought it was an hour before I was supposed to be there. Before I even sat down in the chair, she mentioned my hair was way thicker than she thought and told me there would be additional fees. Disappointed I even told her I could settle for a partial balayage. Now it wasn't that my hair was thick, but now it was she only did blonde balayage that she didn't have any red dye there. After many excuses to try and get me to decline my scheduled appointment that was supposed to be happening I decided to tell her I didn't want her services and I left.

If you are looking into going to Salon Rae, specifically Lily at Salon Rae, I urge you to please read my experience in the photos. I wrote a lengthy review because I wanted to have all of the details about what happened in it, and it was too long to write on Yelp so I took screen shots of what I wrote. This review is not necessarily for the salon itself, but for one stylist in the salon. I felt the need to post a rating and review for the salon because people need to know that this happened in this salon. This review is not made out of ill intentions, but primarily so no one makes the same mistake I did. The other stylist I had communicated with at the salon was fantastic and really helped, which I am so thankful for, but what was done should have never happened in the first place, especially for $240. Pretty disappointed in this salon, prices on the web are not accurate, someone in the salon said they were aware of this and that they just haven't fixed it. In my opinion they should honor the price that's advertised but she didn't and i paid $55 for a normal cut instead of $40...recently went there for a haircut and eyebrows. Eyebrow tech was great and did an awesome job, but i've consistently tried calling in to reschedule another appointment and nobody ever picks up the phone. Also, when i got my hair done, the stylist didn't seem professional. She did ask me where i parted my hair before she cut and she complained about how long my hair took to dry because it was so thick.
