Iāve been here a few times and it hasnāt been anything stellar but I found a tech that I like. Lynda did my nails and she did such an amazing job, I wanted to make an appointment with her for when I needed a fill. I booked an appointment with Lynda online, and when the time comes I walked it and they looked at me like I was crazy. Apparently Lynda had gone on vacation, which isnāt her fault. Not sure why the salon let me make an appointment with her. Anyways, I asked if someone else was available to do my nails and they pass me off to Gabi I think her name was. I have never had a worse experience with a nail tech. When I tell you I left the salon in tears š Gabi starts working on my nails and I asked her to file them shorter as I need short nails to do my job. She sighs and takes them a bit shorter, move on to the next step and doesnāt ask me what I think of the length. I didnāt want to be a bother so I tried to convince myself the length was ok but I couldnāt do it. I spoke up and asked her to take them even shorter and she gave me attitude about it!! But she takes them shorter and Iām happy with the length. I also had told her that I wanted French tip and I had a reference photo, that if she had even cared to look at, she wouldnāt have to huff and puff about the length and the thin white tip. She draws one tip, shows me, and when I tell you this white tip was just about half my nail š„²it was sooo thick! I asked her nicely if we could make it a bit thinner, and again showed her the reference photo. Sheās not happy, but she does the rest of my 4 fingers, shows me, and girl! When I tell you these were the WORST French tips Iāve ever seen. It looked like she drew squiggles on my nails!! After all of that I was so put down, I just asked her if she could wipe off the white and just let me leave. At this point Iām trying so hard not to cry. And she still charges me for French tip!! I cried my way to a different salon where the sweet sweet lady fixed my nails for FREE. I do not recommend Rina nails, but if you HAVE to go please...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in to get a nail dip and shellac pedicure this past Sunday. For the nail dip, I picked a color that looked like a light muave (I didn't want anything too bright since I was attending a conference for work the next day). Then, my nail tech helped pick out a color that was similar to the nail dip swatch.
Halfway through the nail dip process, I noticed that the color looked very bright and asked if that is how they would look in the end. My nail tech told me no, it would look just like the swatch once she got done. Once she was done, it still looked very bright, so I asked if that was how the swatch looked. Once we held the swatch up to my nails, it was several shades lighter (color of my toes was how the swatch looked). When I pointed this out, the owner said it was the same color, but the base swatch was white, so that's why it looked so different. This still didn't make sense to me because I get nail dip all the time and have never had that issue, so another nail tech added a couple more layers to the nail swatch and finally got it to look like the color of my nails. She said the nail swatch must've only had 1 layer, which is why it looked so different. I pointed out that the nail swatch should be representative of how the color would turn out, and there wouldn't ever be a scenario where they would only put 1 layer on anyone. She agreed and said they could redo my nails from scratch, but it would have to be tomorrow because they were closing. I had a conference to attend, so that would not have worked for me. The owner just just kept saying it was still a nice color and proceeded to charge me the full price of $95 for my entire service. On top of it, while my nail tech was very nice and apologetic, she had accidentally cut my cuticles and made them bleed in 4+ spots.
Would not...
Ā Ā Ā Read morei came in around 5PM last week. both my wife and i got pedicures. i selected the $35 pedicure with gel polish ($20 extra) .. the place was a bit empty and relaxing when we first walked in and that should have told me something !! but anyways after we sat down for our pedicures, we stated which pedicure we wanted.. both techs handed us a menu telling us to select a scent which made me think It was for the pedicure we selected.. i was wrong! the menu with scent pedicures were $10 more but was not dicussed with us at all. during the service my cuticles were all cut and bleeding š i kept telling the tech It was hurting but she didnt speak english at all! the young lady that did my wifeās pedicure was nice. but cut all her toes way too short, even tho my wife asked her twice not to do that and she did not know how to shape! my wife took the file and reshaped them herself and It was still dead skin on both our feet. VISIBLE SKIN AT THAT!! our $65 pedicure was basically rushed because we were out of there by 520! i paid $145 (which i was clearly over charged) but still tipped because im a nail tech myself. but i will not be coming back due to the lack of miscommunication, rush job and ny husband toes hurting for a couple days š i did call the owner and let her know because usually i would have just called stateboard. i feel as though this salon does not have licensed employees.. they are just trained to do their job by friends, etc .. my wife has been a license nail technician for over 10yrs and this was not a good...
