Check out our digs in Orlando! This may be our new favorite go to! I love the room, the furnishings, and the aurora. We just loaded up on groceries to be able to cook here which is our favorite when we are somewhere for an extended amount of time. @Marriott Bonvoy @Sheraton Hotels #placestostayinorlando #orlando #hotelsandresorts #waltdisneyworld #lakebuenavista #marriottbonvoy #2bedroom

My family & I have booked this hotel 2 times in the past few years but forced to cancel due to different reasons. I received a vacation club offer to stay for a promotional rate w/out any obligation for timeshare pres. I read other reviews & expected some push to opt-in when arriving. While I did experience requests to participate with offers of hundreds of dollars of gift cards or a lot of Marriott points, I turned it down due to a very packed Disney schedule that week. I really wanted to write a review after our visit because I had tempered expectations of our stay but was pleasantly surprised; it's a great value whether you are there on a vacation package or book a room outright via Marriott. Great people at the resort that i'd like to name are Anibal, Tatiana, and Sonya (I think) Below is my review of the resort. After is more information about the timeshare offer promo experience we had. They have pools...3 of them. They are all great. The water was clean, the towels were stocked, they had staff available, and the features at each pool varies depending on what you're into. They have adult areas where you can check out from the kids but also splash pads, waterfall, pirate ship. Such a great amenity just there. They have a great fitness room open 24 hours with equipment that is not rusty or falling apart (thankfully) & worth using. The restaurants are all pretty good & the staff is nice but Orlando & the area have a lot of things so it's fairly above average for an on-site thing. There's a market where you can buy food & basics, toiletries, clothing. This was nice as a relative forgot some t-shirts while visiting & was able buy some there. As Step Brothers said, So Many Activities!!! See photo I attached showing what they plan each day. Wish we were there longer as there was stuff going on all the time. The walking trails around the villas & ponds were really nice. We walked around a bit enjoying that. The check in process was straightforward & the gate made us feel pretty secure at all times. We took an uber once & that was no real issues. Buildings have numbers and rooms are easy to track down. Overall, resort was great. We'll definitely stay here again but likely a straight booking with Marriott. Thanks to everyone there for a great time. Timeshare additional comments... When arriving, I stopped at the gate, gave my information, and was directed to "The Link" where I met with the personal concierge, Anibal. (This was because I booked a promo rate vacation package with the vacation club and not a simple room reservation) As you can imagine, this is the point at which you are asked about opting in to a vacation club timeshare presentation. During this check in, I worked with Anibal and supervisor Tatiana who were both so great, caring, receptive to my frank questions and schedule limitations. I turned down the scheduling of a presentation but the offer was good throughout the stay. Appt. times for this range from 8am-1pm +/- so evening is not really an option. However, this was the end of the "sales push" that others refer to. I really appreciate the openness of Anibal and Tatiana in discussing how the promo vacation deals work and I did my best to try to attend a presentation. I would note that the email reservation from vacation club for the promo rate will say you have a "one bedroom villa" but in reality, the villa you will get is the "one bedroom smaller villa" as classified on Marriott's reservation system. Nevertheless, these villas are all great but if you agree to a presentation, you will also be afforded a larger villa. The larger villas with full kitchen are basically full apartments. Also, even if you are a "hard no" on signing up for any vacation club, they do not mind if you attend a presentation, their goal is to show off the benefits of the program and hope that they get people to sign up; same as most time share presentations. I cannot advise whether or not there is more/less pressure during the appointment but it would be a sales presentation and you should expect them to try to...

On November 29,- December 6,2024 we stayed at the Sheraton Vistana Village Orlando Florida. I would never recommend this place to anyone, if you are thinking about staying done do it! On check in day we went up to our room to check it out before we bring the luggage up. When we walked in the room, I said the room smell like the oven was left on and it was. So we walked around the room to inspect everything. After inspection my husband brought the luggage up. Anywhere we stay we clean the entire room up before we shower, and lay our heads down. As we were heading out the room I went in the kitchen to see what was going on with the oven. The oven was self cleaning, and you can’t open the oven while it’s cleaning. So we left the room to purchase some cleaning products, and I said the oven should be finished by the time we return. Not so! We started to clean the entire room When we finished the oven was still cleaning. Now it’s getting late, and I was waiting to cook our dinner. So I decided to call the front desk to explain what’s going on in our room. The desk person said we will send someone up by 30 minutes. Ok. When the maintenance man arrived very nice gentleman Mr. Dennis assess the problem and said he need to reset the breaker, and that should resolve the problem. Well that didn’t work, so he said I don’t know how long this will take to fix this, you might need to change rooms so he called the front desk, and they asked to speak to me, and said come back to guest service where you checked in and we will put you in another room. Now what I didn’t stated in the beginning we are Marriott owner, and have Bonvoy account, so we checked in at the vip desk. Upon returning there I told the young lady why we were there, and she said we haven’t spoke to you or Dennis. I said ok, but we need a new room, because the issue in that room. Well that took awhile, and after finding us another room, we stopped by the main front desk to speak to manager to see if he would compensate us for the inconvenience. The manger said, i can give you a food voucher and i said what else we are Marriott Owners. Then he asked if we had Bonvoy account, I said yes he said ok I will add 15,000 points to your account, and I said may I have that in writing so he wrote in on the back of his business card, and said the point will be in your account by this weekend, but it didn’t happen like that. I had to call back days after we checked out, and arrived back home. Now here’s the juicy bad stuff. We went up to the new room they assigned us to, and this is when things got real bad! I walked in the master bedroom to use the bathroom after turning on the light switch the first thing I noticed is a nasty toilet from the previous guest! I did not use that toilet or the one in other room my urine went into shock, and I couldn’t go. Then I called my husband to see this nasty bathroom the towels looked used the shower had mold on the inside, and out. So I called the front desk to complain about this issue. Ok we will send someone up from housekeeping to address the problem. When the nice gentleman arrives he immediately saw the nasty toilet, he said I will get a maid up here to clean the toilets, and do we need anything else. After the maid finished cleaning the toilet, the gentleman said someone from housekeeping will reach out to you on tomorrow, so we said ok it’s time for us to really clean this room up, and we cleaned from the Rudy to the Tootie, and this entire room was nasty. I have before pictures, and pictures while cleaning everything we discovered. Oh, I did receive a call from housekeeper manager Ms.Han, she apologized and said we are giving you additional 15.000 Bonvoy points. I said thank you. Well I had to call back after returning home to get the extra points, and it took entire month to receive the extra points. Beware before staying at the resort. Marriott have no idea what they purchased when they bought the Sheraton out! Also the rooms have a strange odor in them. The mattress had stains, and hair all over it, hand prints...

We were guests of owners for a week in March. There were two young kids and two adults staying the week. Check in was smooth - they throw a lot of information at you in a short amount of time (being first time visitors) so having the map with information was helpful to remember details. We also received two text messages during our stay with information. We knew we wouldn’t be spending much time (one partial day and sleeping each evening) in the unit because we had plenty of off site adventures scheduled. ||Reasoning for a three: |🔸One morning we stopped for a Starbucks (Monday at 8AM) we were surprised to find it was pretty dark and there was a line, while one of the staff was yelling at the others “no cups, no milk, no beans….” Didn’t sound like we would be getting coffee there so we left and went off the grounds for our morning coffee. We didn’t ever go back to see if they figured things out.|🔸we went for mini golf (Wednesday morning) and paid $10/person for a round (three adults, a 4 year old and 2 year old)… no kids pricing seems unreasonable (the 2 year old was no charge but paying full price for a 4 year old seems ridiculous…. We made it through less than 9 holes). There were no others playing so the young kids slow play was not an issue and they lost interest after half dozen holes, but paying over $40 for the experience seemed unreasonable, |especially as guests of a member there. |🔸we went to the splash pad area Wednesday afternoon for maybe 2 hours tops, and there were towels everywhere “saving chairs” and when we found two chairs together (we were ok sharing - 3 adults and 2 young kids - one with a boot/broken leg), a woman came sprinting from the pool area and nearly tackled us saying she had seven chairs saved and those weee hers. Then she called us rude for even considering to ask for even one of the chairs. The kids were upset and thankfully another person away from this very rude woman offered us one chair which we shared. And we cut our oool experience short after only an hour during which no one (besides herself) ever used the 7 chairs. It left us very turned off. We know some of these things cannot be controlled, but there were even signs which we pointed out, and having someone monitoring would be nice during times like this. |🔸biggest downside of this unit was the television service… very outdated having cable service and not being able to use a streaming service. We had phones we could use but with two young kids sharing a phone to watch a show is not ideal and we didn’t bring tablets or such because we expected smart TVs. The unit seemed very outdated all around…||Other notes: |🔸there was space for 8 people fairly comfortably with the main bedroom (king bed), two pull out couches (one downstairs and one upstairs) and two twin beds upstairs (although they were too high and too small for young kids to safely sleep on…. |🔸The kitchen had some basics for meals, but seems pizza pan and pizza cutter would be fairly common basic needs and were not available. |🔸having laundry facilities in the unit was very appreciated with young kids (although we did not end up using them). |🔸overall space in the two floor unit was nice and the balcony had ample space to enjoy being outside. | Check out was convenient, but we had gone to desk and checked out a day early (due to flight schedule) and there was some confusion because of that… we didn’t get a check out list until after we had checked out and we had to verify with them we had already checked out. Text access here was very convenient and they responded quickly… also a $150 credit card hold is placed when checking in and is refunded if there is no damage or additional charges on The room…. There is a delay getting this retuned (from 3-14...
