I was in on Friday, November 30, 2018 around 1:30-2:00 pm. My mother and I were wanting to purchase a Lancôme gift set. Not even 3 seconds in to looking at it, we were greeted by an older lady. We were agresively asked “can I help you?” We claimed we were wanting to buy the gift set, but was just looking at the moment and asked if a Lancôme representative was around (wanting to ask someone with a bit more knowledge about the products within the gift set) Which was then replied with so much hostility “fine, but I can help too.” Not wanting to be rushed we said “okay if you could give us a few minutes to look around that would be great”. She abruptly walked away shaking her head. We felt so uncomfortable and flustered that we started to second guess buying from this belk. After going back and forth, we decided to ask the same lady for some help. She did not like that very much. She said “well I asked if you needed help before and now when I’m busy you ask for help. This is ridiculous. You’re just going to have to wait.” saying this all in front of another customer. I quickly walked over to tell my mom what was said and she was just as appalled as I was. Then to hear this lady gossip to the customer and complain about us while we are in range of hearing is so unprofessional. That was the last straw. We walked out immediately. I wanted to go back to just inform the worker “if you’re having a bad day I completely understand, but to ruin a strangers day as well is uncalled for.” It’s so unusual, because normally the make up lady’s are SO friendly and I’ve always had an amazing experience. Belk carries quality professional wear that is 100% cotton, suitable for church and the office. They offer lovely exercise clothing that is cotton and nylon. There is exceptional pricing during their sales. I have allergies to certian fabrics and their salespeople are knowledgeable and compassionate in helping me find appropriate pieces that contain no allergens. They are always kind to my daughter and were very understanding when she was younger and it took extra time to shop, as it typically does for young children.

The sales floor and changing rooms are clean. I have bought my daughters' new clothing at Belk for years as they sell cotton children's clothing that remains beautiful from the time of purchase until we give it away because my daughter is ready for the next size. Their lovely faith-based crosses and on trend modern Christian fashion bracelets make excellent gifts.

Their perfume counter includes some of the most well known names in the industry. I have found that, specifically in their Estee Lauder, Dior, and Chanel sections, there are perfume selections that appeal to me just as much as those from Serge Lutens, Jayne Ormonde, Amouage, and Kilian. Christmas presents from Belk are routinely well received and are among the gifts given the most enthusiastic reception.

just had the worst experience two of your employees dont care about customer service me and my mom were there to return a shirt and this older blonde sales clerk at the clinque makeup kept complaining why yall didnt close your stores when you had the power outage and kept complaining like it was our fault she was so unprofessional and when she asked her coworker to come help us this female sales clerk with dark brown hair wearing all black who worked at another makeup counter was so rude to us kept arguing with my mom about her return stating that she had the wrong price tag and when another coworker went to look for the same shirt she realized my mom had the right price tag she was so rude and had an attitude after having the worst customer service experience i wont be shopping there anymore they ruined it for me they need to be retrained and learn...
