Such a disappointment. I received a gift card for Buffalo Wild Wings and was looking forward to treating my son to wings one evening via delivery. (I have a chronic illness and often cannot cook dinner for him.) At 5:30pm on a Thursday, I placed an order for timed delivery at 6:20pm. After paying (we went over the gift card so I’d used my debit card as well), the confirmation page showed an updated delivery time of 7:39pm - over 2 hours away. I immediately called the restaurant to cancel the order, as a teen boy who is already hungry isn’t going to wait more than two hours for food. The gal I spoke to made it sound as if delivery discrepancies such as this were common, and didn’t seem to understand why a person would be bothered by placing an order for one time and only after paying, be told, oh no, it’ll be more than an hour longer. When I requested that she cancel the order, she said that maybe they could move it up. She asked for my name again, looked at something for a few minutes, and then came back on the line to tell me she had changed the time so it would be done sooner. Over an hour later, we still had no food and no update. I called back, and the gal I spoke to this time (not sure if it was the same one) told me my food was ready, but they had no way to change the delivery time. So what the heck did the first girl do? Oh, all she did was have them make my food an hour or so early, so by the time the delivery person brought it at the same 7:39pm, it would be two hours old! Am I really the only one who thinks this is wacky? Because the employee didn’t seem to think so, and when I again requested a refund instead of a 2-hours-old meal, she told me it would have to go through her manager, who would have to call me back “sometime” and it could take up to 7 days for the refund. I asked for an order number so that I would be able to reference it when I spoke to a manager. “We don’t have order numbers,” she told me. Because I had paid with both a gift card and my own card, I asked how the refund would be processed. “Oh, I don’t know,” she said. “You’ll have to wait for the manager.” I hung up with very little confidence that I would see my money back. Today (next morning) I missed a call from the manager. He left me a voicemail with his name, and asked me to call him back. I have so far tried three times. Each time, I am treated to a Buffalo Wild Wings spiel while I wait for a real person to pick up the phone. After 2 minutes and 20 seconds, I am told, “There is no one available to speak with you. Goodbye.” and disconnected. I’m so glad that someone gave me this gift card. It’s been a...
Read moreWINGS!! CHICKEN WINGS! This place may advertise other food for sale but it is realistically a building brought to existence JUST FOR large groups of people who love wings and may gather in mass and suck on chicken bones in peace with one another while watching about any sport you can think of on 5 TVs at once sense there are close to 100. If you intend on visiting Buffalo Wild Wings more than once i suggest you download their smart phone application. Free wings {and other things} earned for eating there. Food {wings:]} are fantastic. Huge variety of sauce selections and wing section sizes are larger bird varieties. No malnourished poultry has been served on my plates before. Wait times for foods require patience. You cant put time prices on the perfect wing... but time inconsistencies are the reason for loss of star and further explained below. Out of all the times I have frequented this lovely establishment the service has always been incredible. Staff is; punctual, peppy, attentive, prepared and ready with supplies you will need to ravage your meal with your hands before the meal is even there. Thank you for the proper training methods used to achieve this dear managers. Facilities have always been clean upon needing to use them. Game days and busy days i could find it more than acceptable to find a stray napkin littered around but nothing of the sorts has ever been noticed. Reasons for 4 stars is due to variations of times it has taken to receive my wings after ordering them, throughout all my visits. Im here for lunch often, i'm here for dinner often and even though i don't watch sports, you can find me having a chicken hankering days with major sports events. This has allowed me to experience all the traffic mediums of patrons as the store does. I find going in during slow traffic times 5-10 tables is when it takes the longest to receive my wings. I can assume they're made in individual orders at this time and am satisfied with this. It becomes unsatisfactory when it takes upwards of 45 minutes in these settings, knowing the cook time is so short. No Karen here just worked in a lot of restaurant settings with similar products. When its busy or patronage is heavy, half full restaurant to wait times, the meals are on the table in 10-25 minutes without fail {in all my experience thus far}. Get that kitchen staff into gear on slow times my sweet winged friends and I will happily give the star you deserve, it just needs worked for. GO FOR GOOD WINGS, GOOD SPORTS, GOOD ATMOSPHERE AND...
Read moreThis particular Buffalo Wild Wings definitely takes advantage of the fact that it's the only one in town. When it first opened they were on par with most of the other restaurants in the chain that I've been to, with freshly cooked food delivered on time and promptly. However over the last two years it has become the single worst Buffalo Wild Wings I've ever been to. And it is worth noting that the prices here have gone up about 30 to 40% over the last three years with no reason or anything to show for it. A couple of wings for $15 seems a little ridiculous especially as you read the rest of this review.
Whether you're dining in or ordering online for pickup this particular buffalo wild wings will provide about the worst service you can imagine, and it's pretty obvious that they know it because every time I've complained about something they've admitted it, kind of shake their head, and walked away without any apology or attempt to reconcile. If you are ordering online don't bother waiting to get there until 20 minutes later like the website says because they will not under any circumstances begin your order until you actually show up. Which kind of defeats the purpose of an online order anyway, but there it is. To top it off, the wings you get will be cold if they are traditional, or rock hard if they are boneless. The tiny bit of sauce that might peek its way around the edge of one wing is just enough to give you a memory of what it is supposed to taste like. The last 5 times I ordered at this location I specified extra sauce and extra wet, and everytime my wings come pretty much plain and breaded like you would get from a grocery store frozen food section. The last time I confronted the waitress about it and open the box inside what do I need to do to get sauce on these, to which she replied order extra sauce. When I informed her that I did, she shook her head and said well then I don't know what to tell you. This is the kind of service and quality of food you have to look forward to if you dine at this location. But I do encourage you not to use this location and their service and their quality to judge the chain, because most Buffalo Wild Wings locations are actually pretty good. Again I personally suspect it is because this is the only Buffalo Wild Wings in or around Knoxville. I used to take visiting students and scholars here, especially if they were international, but I no longer do because it...
