The gooey cookies are awesome, the texture and flavor is delightful but good Lord, the sugar cookies. You guys have got to back off on the almond extract, holy cow. Completely overwhelming and almost an instant headache over the sweetness and flavor. You can’t taste anything but almond extract. Simple sugar cookies with buttercream are always my favorite and I am an avid at-home baker that even uses a sugar cookie recipe that calls for almond extract. This was way WAY too much. My reaction after my first bite was “whoa, SO much almond extract...” I shouldn’t be able to pinpoint the ingredients that fast, particularly extracts. I couldn’t eat more than two bites at a time. This is the cutest cookie shop! They have a variety of sugar cookies with fun designs. They also have their gooey cookies which come in red velvet, strawberry, lemon, butter, chocolate chip, chocolate, birthday cake, etc. and then there’s classic cookies like snickerdoodle or chocolate chip. The cookies are around 3$ each but they’re not that big. I picked up the snickerdoodle, gooey chocolate chip and birthday cake, and a cute sugar cookie. The snickerdoodle and even the sugar cookie were pretty basic. Not too special. The sugar cookie was slightly crispy and not soft. But the gooey cookies were AMAZING. It is a really good thing I don't live closer to this store because I would be there every week! In the area and looking for something sweet after lunch. The shop is beyond adorable and so well put together. The display is a work of art that adds to the overall vibe. We tried several cookies and they were all great. The cookies are big gooey on the inside so if you are looking for something more firm try one of the festive decorated cookies. They have plenty of options and do custom orders too.
