This is the first bad review I have had to leave for anywhere. I usually chalk a bad experience up to the person maybe going through something personal and try not to let it ruin my day. However this was such a poor experience, it was worth my time to mention. I brought my young kids in so they could have fun spending their own money. The manager Shane was very unprofessional, irritated we even approached the cash register to make a purchase, she was short and snappy, aggressively tossing my children’s items in a bag, some of the items fell out of the bag and on to the floor. As she grabs the items off the floor, the mop and broom wedged between the counter and wall hit my daughter in the head and rather then ask if she’s ok or even say sorry about that, she looks at my daughter even more annoyed and tells her to hold the plastic baskets we purchased and handed them to her rudely.” Mind you, I understand if someone is having a bad day, if the store was actually busy, maybe short staffed or if my children had done something wrong, but my children were quiet, eyes wide open, gathering their money and didn’t present any problems.” One of my children struggled to use the visa gift card, it kept declining after entering the PIN number. I said it’s ok I’ll use my debit card after trying twice. After we were ready to walk out Shane says, “oh by the way, next time if you skip the PIN and just hit enter it will work.” Knowing this information and not offering it during the purchase? She yelled across the store to me and my friend because she thought we had touched some boxes she was unloading? We hadn’t, obviously. We were trying to buy stuff to make a wreath, and had set an item down - which we intended to buy but had not picked it back up it before checking out. As we went to check out she rudely yelled to us across the store “You can’t just leave items here!” She acted as if we had personally tried to upset her. I called and asked to speak to the manager and she told me she had “worked in retail longer than you’ve been alive” and said she was “sorry but so many people trash their store” when I always try to put things back where I got them.
