I used Gifts N' Things last year for our elementary school (grades 1-5) Holiday Shoppe. When I was in 2nd grade, back in the 80's, my school had a Christmas Shop & it is one of my FONDEST childhood memories, so I really wanted to do this for my son & his classmates! Since it was the first time our school has done a holiday shoppe (in a long time, if not ever), the PTA decided for the 1st year, to have it during our "Family Night," which is a night at the end of the Scholastic Book Fair where students & families come into school & can visit the book fair together. Last year we added the Gifts N'Things Holiday Shoppe, in a separate room, & it was a huge success! We even made more sales than the book fair! The process was so easy & my customer representative, Bill G. from Meadow Farms, was super helpful & fixed any issue we had.
●This program doesn't come with a cash register, but comes with the register app...I will say I was very nervous about using an app rather than a physical register, but it ended up working so well & was very easy, I don't think I'd ever use a cash register again! ●Setup was time consuming but easy bc of the way the company sends you the products. ●The products were really cute compared to other companies I've seen & a very good selection from dogs & cats to grandparents & teachers & everything in between! ●The products were priced better/= all the other holiday shops I researched (& the products I thought were priced too high, I just didn't put out)...we chose not to use this as a fundraiser, so we didn't up the prices, but thats an option if your school is looking to raise funds. ●I was so excited to make an amazing memory for the kids in our school: we had a sign on the door saying "KIDS ONLY" "NO PARENTS ALLOWED" so the kids felt like their present would stay a surprise, most parents stayed out, but not all...We had Christmas Music playing & I was dead set on wrapping EVERY SINGLE PURCHASE, & WE DID (Gifts N'Things also provided different sizes decorative plastic bags that we put the wrapped presents in)!!!!! We will NOT be wrapping presents again...it was a nightmare for everyone....it took so long to wrap each product & since each kid had on average 5 small gifts & they had to pick the wrapping paper they wanted etc, we had a line for 4 hours straight & I'm sure parents were super annoyed! That was the only negative & that was all on me....live & learn! ●Returning the products was so much easier than I could have ever imagined! Just take inventory (on a very organized sheet that they provide) put product in boxes they came in, put the return label on boxes, & send back! So easy!!!!
We signed up for this year, right when I sent back the products & last May we recieved an amazing "bonus" box full of great products for our school...
Read moreGifts 'N Things has the most awesome customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. Professional and compassionate are two of the words to describe them. My six year old grandson purchased a special 'Grandma' mug for me as a Christmas present using his own allowance money. He purchased it at his school from the third party vendor, Gifts 'N Things. A week ago the mug was accidently dropped and broke into pieces causing a huge disappointment for me. My daughter suggested I contact customer service at Gift 'N Things to see if I could purchase another one. I spoke with a very kind customer service representative, Angie, who told me she would replace the mug at no additional cost to me. I have received this treasured gift and it is exactly the same mug as my grandson gave to me. I am overwhelmed by the kindness both Angie and Vice President of sales, Ben Rainford displayed. They get it on how treasured these gifts are to us! This was above and beyond customer service. Thank you to Gift 'N Things for...
Read moreGifts ‘N Things customer service is top notch! Last year after our Lil’ Shopper Holiday Shoppe I had a family that purchased a glass cup for a gift. They were wrapping gifts for a upcoming family gift exchange and when they opened the box to show a family member the gift they found the cup was broken. ☹️ Since our shop had ended a week prior I wasn’t sure what we could do. I contacted Jessica the rep who had been helping me with my shop and she said she would send the customer another one immediately! The customer received a replacement the very next day!!! We were both very impressed and they were able to give their loved one the gift a few days later! Thank you Jessica and Gifts ‘N Things for impeccable customer service! We look forward to this years Holiday Shoppe confidently knowing that we have stellar customer service backing us should any bumps in the road arise! If your school is looking to offer your students a way to purchase affordable gifts for family I highly recommend this...
