Faces in the Dark Tattoo — Local services in Kyle

I’ve never before had a tattooing experience quite like the one I had at Faces In The Dark. My personal experience with other tattoo artists at different shops has always been fairly negative. They’re overly cocky, discourteous of their client’s time (showing up late or not at all), and usually making their client feel like them tattooing you is more of a chore than a passion for them. My experience yesterday was nothing at all like that. The shop in itself was amazing, and all of the artists and employees were attentive, polite and looked like they genuinely cared about their clients and the art they were creating for them. Upon first walking in the door of the shop, I got the vibe that the artists working there were there because they wanted to be, not because they were obligated to. My artist, Joe Melin, greeted me as soon as I was done completing my paperwork, and was ready to get started on drawing up my tattoo right away. He took the time to ensure that the piece was exactly what i wanted, and took extra special care to make certain it was perfectly sized and placed to compliment my other existing tattoos. He was extremely courteous and helpful, respectful of me and my time, and made genuine conversation with me during the process so that I actually felt welcome in the studio, not like I was an inconvenience in someone’s day like I have felt at other shops. He also made sure to explain everything he was doing so that i could be comfortable knowing exactly what to expect. My tattoo turned out SO beautifully. It’s even better than i imagined it would be. The quality of Joe’s work is impeccable and his creative talent truly speaks for itself. I am head over heels in love with my new ink. It’s so perfect, I can’t stop...

Faces in the dark tattoos...... These guys are absolutely amazing! Walking in the first time I automatically felt like I belonged there. Becca welcomed us in we quickly felt like we belonged there. Tye Harris is wonderful he did a black and grey rose with music notes on my shoulder it is just beautiful. He's nothing short of fabulous. He most definitely knows what he is doing! He sings to the music, crack jokes every now and then, the workshop is always clean. The second time I went in Juan Perez another amazing gentlemen I asked for flowers he drew me something my style and it was perfect he knows what he is doing as well talkative,funny,singing I had another tattoo that I got from another tattoo shop (Platinum Ink)but after looking at if for a couple of weeks I didn't rally like it so I went back to Faces in the dark Juan Perez a wonderful job covering up my feather without a problem! Mike Flores another guy who does tats there is great as well. I watch him at times and I have seen some of his work absolutely amazing! I am a customer service freak they go above and beyond excellent customer service. I highly recommend this place for all of your tattoo needs.I know if you go your going to feel like family the instant you go inside. Prices are reasonable. You can never put a price on professionalism,safety, cleanliness, Faces in dark team make sure you are comfortable water, cokes etc. I would like thank them all! When I get another one I know exactly where I am going! Without a doubt, Tye Harris is the most talented tattoo artist for black//gray and portraits—I’d say for sure nationally and probably internationally although the U.S. artists traditionally do far, far better work (people come to the U.S. to get a high quality tattoo—not the other way around). Wouldn’t go to anyone else. He WILL. BE. A. LEGEND. so get an appointment while you still can. Tye and Becca are truly amazing people, fantastic business owners, and I’ve never had a better experience at any other tattoo shop. This place brings the state health and safety standards waaaay beyond what is required. The artists probably go through 2-3 whole boxes of gloves per session. EVERYTHING—every cord, screen, button, paper, tab—anything that might be touched—is covered with medical barrier film. Great music while you’re there, fun + hilarious people as a source of constant entertainment, awesome decor thanks to the talented Becca Grant, and very attentive to each client. They won’t let you go home with a half-finished piece. They’ll finish up at least a first pass (on larger tattoos) and an entire piece (on smaller tattoos) so you don’t look crazy walking around with half a face and an outline on your arm. I really can’t say enough great things about these folks. Been going to them since 2014 before they opened their shop and they’re solid, grounded people. All the artists book up very quickly — I just had a piece done (12/01/18) and first available for my next piece with Tye is April/May 2019. So save your $$ and get ready. I give them well over 5...
