I have given this place so many chances. Each time, I have justified the experience with the simple fact that they are fairly new and just opened. Every time I go in it’s insanely crowded.. the order of seeing customers as they come in was fair but extremely unorganized. I often left frustrated at how much time I spent there due to the wait, and the unorganized floor. The work provided is great, I cannot complain about that hence why I gave them so many chances. I decided to make an appointment moving forward to avoid the wait hoping for a more pleasant experience and I blamed myself for never making one and leaving upset. I made the appointment at 12:15 and was not seen till 12:40… I had plans of getting my feet and nails done, but my feet were not complete until around 2:00… at this point I had to return back to work I did not have time to complete my nails. However, I was still willing to possibly do my nails as long as the lady doing my feet, would immediately take me to do my nails because again, I had an appointment with two services. That was not the case, she went on to help someone else and had me waiting yet again for someone else to do my nails. I made an appointment for 12:15 hoping to be done by 2:30 at the latest given that I made an appointment and should have been seen quicker and made a priority over those without appointments, that was NOT the case. The appointment system was so pointless. They didn’t have staff organized on an appointment basis and for that reason I will never be back. I usually leave a great tip but today left $0. Having just moved from Austin, I have been nervous about finding a new nail salon. I first went to Starfish Nail Bar on Sunday because I cracked my gel only a week after getting them done at another salon and I didn’t like the color after all.

I chose #11 from the Jackie Signature collection (black bottle). It’s a nice dark red, probably closer to maroon. The manicurist, Anna, did a test nail and then did my nails and even redid my pinky. After I left the salon, I realized how uneven the gel was and that it wasn’t cured properly. I emailed the provided email on the website requesting a re-do or a refund. The owner’s responded and offered to re-do my nails. Great! I appreciated the prompt response and willingness to fix it.

Today was the day! I got my nails redone and they’re amazing. I’m glad I went back. What we didn’t realize is that this gel brand in particular is a bit thinner. I frankly wouldn’t have chosen it because thin and dark colors just don’t suit one another IMO. We are going to try a different brand next time. Overall, the color is gorgeous and my nails are too.

I was looking for a new nail place because the one I currently use is so far away from me. I was with the same group of ladies for seven years and I love them dearly and they always did a good job. So I was skeptical about trying a new one, but I had to. Once I was getting worked on for about 15 minutes and it turned out they were five of us that were there for the first time and it was a great conversation piece. The bar is so glorious to look at is so beautiful. It’s super clean as you can smell a hint of bleach. Every single person there who works there were super nice. I was gonna be skeptical about what kind of job that they were going And they did a great job. I never expected that on the first time. It was like they knew me and they knew exactly what I wanted. It’s a flawless job they did and I’m definitely gonna be going back there. They’re actually a little bit cheaper than other Nail places as well. Definitely recommend this is a five star visit and a five star establishment.
