I stopped in today after a late lunch with my love. I didn’t really need anything, but had money to spend if something caught my eye. I noticed that there was a lot of summer merchandise, dresses and cute tops. I also noticed that these items were on sale, 20% off. My interest grew! I am a very fit XL, I run and work out and have a lot of muscle. There were no XL dresses, tops, basically nothing I had an interest in. I asked the female proprietor of the store if there were any sizes larger than a large to which she responded “every once in a while we have an XL, but we don’t carry plus sizes”. WHAT!!! I am not plus size, I was at one time but since losing 50 lbs, I wear L or XL depending on the cut.

I would imagine if they paid attention to the demographics of the population of La Follette and wanted to help ALL of the women dress to feel and look their best, then perhaps there would not be so very many summer dresses and blouses that sat on the racks at 20% off. Or perhaps they just do not care about helping ALL ladies feel special and cater to an elite group of tiny little women who don’t appear to frequent the...
