Bear Necessities Laundromat — Local services in La Vernia

I live as a full-time RV’er in the La Vernia area and I have been waiting for this place to open. But what a disappointment on the prices. The smallest washers are $3 and the standard dryers are $2 for 30 minutes. I normally do my laundry in San Antonio at my list of five different nice places. Their prices are $2 for a small washer and $1 for 30 minutes or $.25 for eight minutes, depending on the place. The cost difference per load really adds up on a weekly basis. I may come back here for a quick load if needed but otherwise I’ll be taking my laundry back to San Antonio and run my other errands as well. The laundromat is small, kind of clean, and the machines we used smelled like wet dog. The vending machines were out of several items. A bottle of water was $2.00! Invest in a water fountain! The washers are a bit pricey but the dryers were $3.50 each for 30 minutes of drying time. Come on now! That’s just outrageous. There were some snooty ladies that were taking up 5 of the laundromats steel carts and gave us a dirty look when we used ONE to haul our blankets in to wash. The area is nice but it just seems like some folks don’t take too kindly to outsiders around these parts. Make this location a bit more economical and I bet more...

Very calm laundry mat with multiple options for washers and a couple options for dryers. The place is clean and has great machines. The 6 load washer is 7 dollars, 4 load is 5 dollars, and 2 load is 3 dollars. The smaller (which are fair sized) are 2.50. It took about an hour and a half from start to walking out.
