Dollar General — Local services in La Vernia

This DG is closer to my house but not my favorite store because the staff are not very "welcoming ", they don't hardly smile, they barely speak to you, (only what's necessary at the register). This has been my past experience of the few times I have been to this stores location. I prefer to drive the farther distance to Seguin (business 123) location, where they are more friendly and helpful. However today was suprisingly different. I regret that I did not pay attention to name tags, but there were 3 employees that I observed in the store, all busy putting away stock it appeared. As I entered the building I was met with a smile and hello. I needed to ask about a couple items and again I was met with a smile and assistance. I have been coming to this Dollar General for a very long time and when I came this last time I have never seen this store in such a mess and I. An overhear the manager talking about her employees I’m sorry but to me that’s not a manager and when she had came out I asked her a simple question about getting some balloons blown up she rolled her eyes and said why must people come here I’m sorry I’ve never had any issues with it before but all of a sudden it is then when it came time to pay she called another worker and was like please help this human cause I don’t have time for this nonsensei don’t know who she was she said her name was Rosa but I know her name was Belinda I’m sorry does dollar general really want that...

Mean, older man never has a smile or greeting at all, for anyone. My husband and kids were going there frequently but that white haired man can ruin a persons day. You’re customer service is an epic fail. I’d rather be in a long line at heb than have to talk to a person with a chip on their shoulder like that. He’s been there a while so we’ve all tried to get him to crack a simile. We even greet him when we’re coming in but he just looks up and then returns to doing whatever he’s doing.
