I have been shopping in this Home Depot often for several years. I always give complements and thank management personally for the wonderful service that I have received. Today I called the store and spoke with a manager named John. I thanked him for the exceptional/outstanding customer service that I received from an employee named Lenny. This young man knows what the meaning of customer service really means. When Lenny saw me struggling with the wood I was trying to buy, he hurried up to get me a cart and loaded the wood I needed to buy. Moreover, he asked me if I needed anything else and made sure I found everything I came in for that day. I told Lenny that I did need a few more items. He asked me what I needed. I told him what the items were and stated that I did not want to bother him, if he was busy. He smiled at me and said mam, “It’s my Job to help you”. He then walked me over to three different areas of the store and found exactly what I needed. There were two other employees standing in the wood dept. just talking and watching me struggle with the wood. They never even asked me if I needed any help finding anything. I needed help finding and loading the correct wood for my project and several other items. I would like to thank Lenny for his outstanding customer service and going above and beyond. Thank you for the OUTSTANDING customer service Home Depot of Forked River. I love...
Read moreWell, I just discovered. You have to be careful where you park. One of my local HD’s didn’t have enough of one item I wanted so I went to the other HD. In my area the stores are the complete opposite to each other inside aNd outside. 2 things.
If you’re a senior like me (81) and you have a bladder frequency problem you generally park at the end where you believe the bathroom is. As many of my pears understand when you get out of your car. Your first stop in the bathroom. If you walk the length of the store to relieve yourself!
2.If you want to park near the cash register entrance. Be careful you may have to walk the length of the building in the rain to pack your stuff in your truck. I think the POTS should mandate that all big box stores be built as much as the can like each other, a little signature on his part could look after that overnight. Then all the citizens won’t be confused. Mind you once you know where the recheck out register is. HD locates all the stuff you want is easy to find. Now the other Box Stores present you with a great challenge to find some of your stuff...
Read moreI understand that we are in a pandemic, and every store, hospital and restaurant are short staffed. I am a nurse, so I completely understand the gravity of our current situation. I attempted to buy a washer and dryer set yesterday. No one was available in appliances, so the young man from the blinds counter assisted me. The price match was done incorrectly, and somehow I was charged more for the machines than what their online prices are. My husband went back this morning attempting to get the price adjusted. He was told that "we aren't doing that right now because of what id going on in the world". I'm not quite sure what exactly that means. That would be like me saying that I am not helping you recover from something minor because of what is going on in the world. As far as I know, we all still have to do the jobs that we go to work every day to do. I am also an essential worker, one on the front lines no less. I understand that it is frustrating, but I am greatly disappointed in Home depot and how they are handling these times. I will be taking my...
