I am positive my experience with buying a car here is not normal as that would be impossible. But I will say honestly most everyone I've dealt with has been wonderful and have really tried to be as helpful as they can, and I've dealt with a lot of them in past year in all departments. So for the people and management and overall standing by their warranty I will say very happy. Unfortunately the car I chose has been a nightmare and has cost thousands and thousands in repairs ( that they covered without hesitation) and left me stranded hundreds of miles away from home on 3 different occasions the first two just month after buying causing me to miss my grandma funeral. They worked very hard to resolve by working with the local repair shops to get me on road but being stranded with a disabled daughter and two service dogs without any where to go was horrible. Those two first issues were due to bad fuel pump which they could not have known. The third and current problem has left me stranded in California with my daughter and our two dogs ,in a remote location of CaliforniaI I know nothing about ,for 7 weeks now. My car sat at the shop where it was towed ,after throwing a engine rod in middle of Mojave desert during extreme heat advisory which was so remote it took 3 hrs just to get a tow truck there. Unfortunately the shop was not a reputable one and kept ordering from same vendor 4 different engines each time taking a week and then saying it was bad and would order another. By week 5 and engine 5 we had spent everything I had on rooms and food and was losing patience so I asked the service department to step in and they sent one from a vendor they knew and shipped one all way to Cali. Apparently Shop didn't not like this and minute it arrived 10 days later they immediately declared won't work and said weren't going to install. Cause it was dirty. Thankfully service dept instructed them to and it ultimately did work. But shop didn't not like being ordered around and looking foolish by saying it wouldn't work and it did, nor the increased pressure they were getting from everyone to get this done so after I was on road 80 miles check engine light comes on codes as catalytic converter bad. So now waiting again to get this repaired but thankfully though not technically covered on warranty it is pretty much common belief that this issue was intentionally caused by the other shop so without hesitation they are helping to get it fixed . In mean time I've lost so many things as result of being gone for almost two months from home and job. So I would recommend JDByrider as a good place to get a car especially if credit history not great as they have all stood by their warranty. But just make sure you you THROUGHLY INVESTIGATE THE CAR HISTORY, SERVICE REPORTS NOTICES, RECALLS , GM ISSUED ORDERS ( THIS HAS A REPLACE DONT REPAIR ORDER FOR BAD ENGINE DUE TO CAUSING CATASTROPHIC ENGINE Failure,BUT GM WONT RECALL IT AS THEY DID THE ONE YEAR BEFORE), CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS AS GM KNOWS THIS CAR WAS NO GOOD YET REFUSED TO ISSUE RECALL . HAD I LOOKED DEEPER AND CHECK OUT CONSUMER COMPLAINTS,NATIONAL HIGHWAY SAFETY REPORTS, ETC. IF I JAD I WOULD NOT HAVE CHOSEN THIS 2011CADILLAC SRX. BUT THANK YOU JDBYRIDER ESPECIALLY THE PEOPLE IN SERVICE DEPT AND THE EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANY FOR TRYING SO HARD TO FIX GMS MISTAKES. IF I EVER GET HOME TRUST I WILL MAKE SURE GM IS MADE AWARE OF THE LIFE ALTERING IMPLICATIONS THEIR POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES AND POORLY MADE EQUIPMENT HAS CAUSED AND THE COSTS IT HAS PUT ON ME AND MY...
Read moreI purchased a vehicle from JD Byrider Lafayette less than three months ago. While the sales experience itself was relatively smooth and Jordan was personable, Iâm now dealing with serious mechanical issues including ignition failure and tire pressure system malfunction. These problems surfaced well within the warranty period, yet accessing repairs has been unnecessarily difficult for someone who works full-time. The dealership does not offer Saturday service hours, meaning customers must miss work to get repairs that should not be required on such a recently purchased vehicle.
The registration process has also been a fiasco. I currently have a 90-day extended temporary tag because DMV paperwork remains unresolved. The visible auction stickers still on the windowâcombined with the rapid onset of mechanical problemsâsuggest this may be a rebuilt vehicle, pieced together with minimal integrity.
Under Indianaâs Deceptive Consumer Sales Act, businesses are prohibited from concealing known defects or misrepresenting a productâs condition. I believe JD Byrider violated this statute by knowingly selling me a defective vehicle and failing to disclose its actual condition. When I request a loaner or alternate arrangement during the repair process, I am not asking for a favorâI am asserting a reasonable request given the hazardous condition of the car and the dealershipâs duty under the warranty.
Furthermore, when I called for resolution, an employee named Jeremiah flat-out refused to provide contact information for the site manager and falsely claimed to be the manager himself. If these calls are indeed recorded, as the dealership states, this interaction should be easy to verify. I also have my own recording of the call for corporateâs review, should they choose to take accountability.
This is my formal notification to JD Byrider Lafayette that I consider the ignition failure, horn malfunction, and tire sensor issues to be active safety hazards. I am requesting an immediate and timely repair or appropriate resolution, with reasonable accommodation to my schedule and in line with the warranty coverage offered at the time of purchase.
After the evasive and dishonest behavior I experienced on the phone, I have retained legal counsel who is now reviewing the terms of the purchase agreement and warranty limitations. If this dealership continues to obstruct access to repairs or disregards these safety concerns, I will escalate to formal litigation. This includes pursuing legal claims under Indianaâs Deceptive Consumer Sales Act, seeking rescission of the sale, and seeking compensatory damages for deceptive and negligent business practices. I also encourage others whoâve had similar experiences to do the same.
You have seven business days from today to resolve this issue. I will not be playing anymore games on the phone. Failing that, I will proceed with escalations that are legal, public, and persistent. I expect a timelyâand this time,...
Read moreDo not lease from this company if you are out of state. Their leasing agency CNAC is evil. They will refuse to give you a legal title and you will drive on an illegal plate for 2 years . Then they'll repo your car because you refuse to pay another dime until they follow the law, and provide you with what they are supposed to by law. ... (Well actually the state of Michigan county Police repoed it because you can't drive an unregistered vehicle but you can't register a vehicle without a tiuel.. in which then you have to have them repo from the county impound because you can't pay 50$ a day on top of court costs) and then they take your car, to a repo mans personal garage where he goes through your personal belongings and refuses to let you contact them in regards to getting your personal items back.then your account agent will lose her cool and freak out on you on the phone only due to her fear of not getting your payment (I have all of these calls recorded myself too because they refused to give me the recordings because the people actually in charge are corrupt. I'm consulting a lawyer and wsbt in regards to this because this is insanity.
UPDATE: They claim they have no record of me leasing this vehicle which is incorrect only because I'm using my nickname on my Google review to protect myself I am so tempted to place documents here though under Google reviews please protect yourselves and do not listen to this company without having a lawyer in hand I am taking them to civil court now because of the unfairness and the fact that they refuse to send a title to the state of Michigan in order for me to...
