Less about this store and more about the company in general, but if you have something that is available to preorder, maybe you should actually send it to the store it was pre ordered at so that it gets there on release day instead of delisting it after a week.
I pre ordered the Murders At Karlov Manor bundle box from MTG, because it was the newest set coming out. I put money on the preorder well before it's release date (Feb. 9th) and was intending to pay the rest of when it arrived in the store but it never did.
After a full week of waiting, it still hadn't come and was delisted in the system, meaning it would probably never come in. After hearing that I decided to move the money from the pre order and use it to order the bundle box online.
I did that on the 16th, but here's a fun fact about GameStop: they do not even process online orders on from Friday through Sunday, so even though I supposedly had 1-3 day shipping, the soonest it was coming was Wednesday. Wednesday comes around and I go in to see if they have it, suprise suprise, they don't. I checked the tracking info and suddenly it was expected to arrive on the 24th, which is a week and one day after I ordered the damn thing.
I would say if you want something from their website, look elsewhere if you want it in a timely manner. Store staff here is great though so it's a problem at a...
Read moreMy husband and I went in to sell an old iPhone 6. Online it said that we would get $45. Alex, the one working, told us no he would only do $20. We asked him why when it was telling us $45 online and he told us "just because it's what he has to do." We then again asked him to explain why because we simply wanted to understand and he rolled his eyes at us, made a rude comment to entertain others in line, and rolled his eyes again. I told him that's fine we won't sell it then. Alex proceeded to roll his eyes again, this time I told him not to roll his eyes at me for simply asking a question, and he told me that he didn't actually mean to do that. He unplugged our phone from the computer and slammed it into my hand and rolled his eyes once again. We will not be returning to game stop, especially when we are treated with such disrespect from an employee who is supposed to be there to answer our questions. I am extremely disappointed and very offended. If you shop here, don't expect any questions to be politely answered, instead expect some eye rolls and rude...
Read moreThis company disgusts me with their forcefulness of selling their membership. I hardly ever go to GameStop's because of this but today I saw something I wanted to get at this particular store. The employee ringing me out asked me 7 TIMES telling me I was making a mistake for not singing up to save. 7 TIMES in a 3 minute interaction that should have ended the first time I said NO instead of forcing me to give them my phone number. Forcing your employees to meet some quota (because I'm aware that you do) is revolting behavior and this left a foul taste in my mouth. I don't even frequent these stores so why would I pay for something I will maybe use once ever 2-3 years? Take some examples from other companies who do free memberships then a...
