Requested Oil & Filter Change (aka 6-mo service)on my MBZ. Invoice stated service done but no reports on any of the items normally done on 6-mo service: check all fluids, lights, wipers, air filter, belts, hoses, battery, tire pressures etc. After 3 inquiries on text finally got to talk to Juan -- he said that they only report "if there's something wrong". Lafayette German Car Repair claims they provide superior service as reflected in their fees/charges that are 3X more than a basic O&F change, as such detailed reports on the results of their diagnostic service should always be provided rather than just "negative reporting".    Read moreI was unaware of LGCR and was brought there on the recommendation of the AAA tow truck driver who said his father had used them on his Mercedes for many years. He brought my car over with me in the cab and we dropped off my 1984 500 SEC in the parking lot and left the key with instructions in the door slot. LGCR called me several times during the day to let me know the progress and the car was running, once again. at 3pm. It turned out to be a blown fuse on the fuel pump relay.... and now the car even seems to run even better.... Maybe it's just the love they gave it.
