Ten years ago the financial aid department, a particular woman who may have been a man now that I'm thinking about it, told me I was basically lying about my income- that no single mother could afford rent, college and groceries without the help of my parents. I told her I was on foodstamps, and no, I don't receive financial help which is why I was seeking the grant for single mothers. She huffed and puffed and rudely kept implying that I HAD to be lying. I am glad I was smart enough to sass her and demand to talk to her supervisor. I ended up getting the grant, and it helped, but I still remember how hard my life was back then and then to be accused of lying about my income made it ever less likely for me to feel like I could accomplish something. Something needs to be done about parking! I have to keep my fingers crossed that someone pulls out of a spot. Everyone's frustrated! It takes me at least 20 minutes to find a spot and I have to tag on an hour drive to get there. It's ridiculous.

Graduated with a 4 year general studies degree to move onto nursing. The staff is clueless sending you from one place to another, back to where you originally started for answers. Trying to get into the LPN program has been like hitting a wall trying to find the answers I need. This school is notorious for screw ups. The financial aid department is by far the worst group of people I have ever had to deal with. They mix up paperwork, they lose information, and then have the nerve to give you an attitude about it. Just recently I had to rain hell down upon them for getting my loan information incorrect, and having the audacity to bill me and threaten to take me to court over something that was their fault. Thank God everything has been resolved, but case in point, it should never have happened. It happened because of pure laziness. That office is full of nothing but lazy, idiots.
