China Wok J&L LLC — Restaurant in Lafayette

I just received my order from Waitr and I just wasn’t very happy with it at all. I ordered pan fried pork dumplings…they were good. Egg roll was fine. But the Mongolian Beef tasted like straight BLACK LICORICE….I’m not sure how that even happens. Anise maybe? But like WAYYYY too much? It was awful…not gonna lie. And I also ordered a large shrimp lomein and it was QUITE fishy. I have China Wok and Hot Wok menus in a drawer & I wrote on this one that it was the better of the two…and I was REALLY craving some damn good Chinese but this unfortunately wasn’t it. I’m giving 3 stars hoping it was an off night and bc I clearly had a good meal from them sometime before. But I have egg rolls AND pork potstickers in my freezer right at this very moment…I should’ve just made them myself bc the rest...

I live less than 2 miles away. They picked an address over an hour away after I spelled out my address. How would anyone deliver over an hour away? I called them after waiting an hour thinking it was busy and thats why it was delayed. They told me 20 minutes and thats fine. The driver called us from a different town and we started figuring things out. When I called the restaurant, the woman kept hanging up on me, multiple times. F these people, they hang up on customers and don't have a clue how to use google maps. By the way, the cold food sucked. I was calling my credit card when the driver showed up two hours later, and I felt bad for him. I took my cold food and wrote this review. Don't call these people or...

this place is a f* joke. they try to charge you a different price from the menu and tell you its an old menu which was a menu I received they day before with a delivery. which by the way we order just about every day during the week for our staff here at the hotel. they also say they charge a $10 min on delivery items (which is also on the menu) and when you call to order they tell you $15. they are ripping ppl off. how sad. and its always the girl that works on weekends that gives this problem. she is very rude and bad for business. there is a problem going on in this place that's needs to be resolved. I will no longer order from this place again and neither will your menus be given...
