I have been a TJX credit card holder for four years, and after my experience yesterday with the manager Gaby, I will be closing my account and no longer shopping at this chain of stores. I will also make sure no one I know shops at these stores ever again.
How a woman this mean, hostile, and unprofessional even managed to hold a manager position is beyond me.
On Monday I had purchased two items for full price. Yesterday, Wednesday the 30th I came in to do more shopping when I saw that the items I purchased were now marked down. I had asked a cashier if I was able to bring the items I purchased Monday in to return them and rebuy for the now marked down price. That cashier (older woman) brought over a different manager I did not get the name of and that manager told me that I could rebuy for the lower price if I have the items and the receipt. She then placed the item with the yellow tag on hold for me so when I came back in it would be up front. If the manager told me I couldn’t, I would have been okay with that. But that wasn’t the case.
A few hours later I came back in and was helped by another cashier (young, very long hair, did not catch her name) she was very kind when I explained the situation, found the item placed on hold with ease, and said she will call over the manager to do the mark down.
Gaby came over and the cashier explained the situation to her. Then started the worst five minutes of customer service I have ever experienced in my life. She was saying things like “Who even does something like this” and was interrogating me on what manager said this would be okay because she needed to report them immediately. She said marked down items are nonrefundable, that they weren’t even allowed to put clearance items on hold, which shocked me because none of these things were ever an issue. In the meanest way possible she kept saying over and over again “We don’t price match and we will NEVER price match.”
She treated me like I was a criminal, and the poor cashier looked so shocked by her behavior and uncomfortable.
The hell finally ended when she said “I’ll do it just this once, but never ever again.”
After she had left the cashier, bless her heart, looked shaken by the way I had just been treated and apologized profusely. She made the situation just a tiny bit better.
But I will never shop at Marshall’s again, and will be closing my credit card with them immediately. Fire this lady, because my heart breaks thinking she will treat anyone else the way she...
Read moreChristina has GOT TO GO ! she is super unprofessional and highly rude. not only did i see her practically putting down a new employee today, right after she was rude to my kid. As a mother I do NOT want to hear my kid come crying to me telling me about how a worker here made her cry. This should NOT be acceptable. I want corporate to handle this properly by removing employees like Christina from work places she clearly can’t handle. She embarrassed my daughter and yelled at out how much money my daughter had on her card. REPEATEDLY. She put my daughter in an uncomfortable position THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN AT ALL ! As for the employee I hope she is still okay because the way Christina verbally stepped over her was far inappropriate too. Never coming back and I write this to warn people to keep safe...
