Farmer Boys — Restaurant in Lake Elsinore

I’ve always enjoyed my food at this location. Today I was craving onion rings with my burger. They were horrible. The breading half fallen off. One out of four rings was not eatable because it was hard. Terrible. My burger was delicious. The trash bins where you stack the baskets was full. It could not hold any more bowls & baskets. The countertop next to soda station was extremely dirty. Never seen it like this before. Most of the table were clean & floor too. My top to my cup did not fit right. I had to ask for another one & that one didn’t fit quite right either. I guess the cups & tops are very cheaply made.

Mar 23, 2022 went to have the double cheese burger special with no salt on my fries. The worst burger I’ve ever gotten. It was so greasy that my bottom bun was not eatable. It was brown soaked in grease. I had to use napkins to soak up grease & I picked at what I could eat. Never again will I order this. I don’t understand because previous times the burger was absolutely delicious. I also wanted it well done & this was not. I always ask for no salt on fries. I limit my salt intake plus I get hot fries. Today they tasted old like they’ve been sitting out under a hot lamp. They were not hot. They were not fresh. They were over cooked. Tasted like they got salted fries & dipped them back into the fryer to remove the salt & served to me.

When I got up to see who was in the kitchen, it was the same guy who refused to honor my free order of zucchini from the St Patrick’s scratch off last week. He told me it was a corporate thing & he had no freaking idea about the scratch ticket & it was given to me by this same restaurant.

I contacted customer service who took my info. I sent pic to them. I was told they get back to me. This was last week. I called today & spoke to same lady & she said she will contact the restaurant again for mgr to contact me.

First time at this Farmer Boys, and first time ever having bad food at any Farmer Boys! But it was SO bad compared to every other Farmer Boys I've eaten at that I felt I should let other Farmer Boys fans know to avoid it. If this happened at ANY other burger place it wouldn't be worth the review. But this is FARMER BOYS. Not McD's. It's also pricier than McD's - normally well worth it- but I expect better quality than McD's if I'm paying considerably more.

Both of us ordered the 1/3 lb "All Natural" cheeseburger and fries. Simple, right? Both burgers tasted OLD, flavorless, and were lukewarm. Two slices of cold cheese slapped on top of the lukewarm burgers- never hot enough to melt the cheese. Burgers slapped onto cold, plain buns- no lettuce, tomato, ketchup, etc. (Nothing like it's pictured or described on the menu.) Wait, there was a quarter-size squirt of some sauce on the bottom bun. No idea what it was... but it was gross. Friend ordered raw onion slice and got cooked chopped ones. I ordered NO onions and got the onions anyway (I'm VERY allergic), and extra pickles. I got 2 pickle slices. I gave my burger to my dogs waiting in the car. Even they didn't want it. French fries were also cold and flavorless. The homemade ranch looked and tasted watered down. Totally understandable if they were busy. They were not. (Sunday evening.) Won't ever go back. Just hope this isn't the new norm at...

This location has severe customer service issues. After my friends funeral his kids and myself went to gamer boys to grab some lunch. There were six people in our party. The first four placed their order and then my friend and myself ordered salads. I added 2 zucchini sides and one fry and 2 onion rings. When the food was served each of the burgers from the fist four orders had zucchini on two and onion rings on two and no fries. Since the items ordered as sides were served on plates with food it appear as if each sandwich came that way. When we inquired on the French fries the one who took the order came to the table and demanded to see my receipt. My order was 89.62 not a common amount . Rather than look at his register tape he took my receipt to the manager who was now showing an attitude at their mistake after several minutes of bickering finally they started to prepare fries. Fifteen minutes later after everyone was done eating I asked where the fries were and said since we were done eating I just wanted a refund. Off to the side on the counter was a plate of fries just sitting there the young man picked up the plate as to offer it to me. It was pretty crummy being their mistake yet getting upset as if we messed up. Never did anyone apologize and when the manager walk out of the store she was muttering under her breath?!
