Douglas Burgers 23 — Restaurant in Lake Elsinore

September 27th 2025, they are added again. I gave Douglas another try and sadly it was disappointing. I waited a long time in the drive-thru line and I figured that with this many people the food would be coming out fresh. I was wrong, the fries, see picture, we're old shriveled barely warm and brown. I called for someone to bring out a new fry in exchange for the old one and they didn't know what to do. I ended up speaking to two people who argued with me saying those fries were fresh. Finally, they agreed to bring me "new fries" they refried some and gave them to me. You can tell because older fries are very starchy. I don't know if they understand quality. Prices are too high these days for horrible food.

They remodeled, and we're paying the price! Giving old food to customers and raising prices. I've been coming here since 2011. The food was good, and prices were reasonably, I even called out the best food in Elsinore. No longer the case, I called to complain about the fries, which were old starchy and cold. They said they don't give that type of food, I've received this type of order 3 times, and I'm done. They wouldn't redo the order, they lost a long time customer. When you mess up an order, you make up the whole thing to save the customer's experience. They don't seem to care about their customers anymore, only money. Fantastic place to grab a bite to eat when you want something more substantial than your average fast-food. With the polite and friendly staff they have a menu that caters to everybody's taste at a price that also caters to our bank accounts. With plenty of indoor seating and the available option to have your item ordered to go or simply drive through the drive-thru this place was designed for convenience and an overall good warm and inviting atmosphere mixed with a great selection from hamburgers and hotdogs to burritos to comfort food with breakfast being served all day you would be hard-pressed to not find something on the menu that will meet your current Cravings so I would recommend this to anybody. Even those that are health conscious that just want a salad 4 right around 5 bucks you can get the basic salad which has cheese eggs fresh cut vegetables a whole head of iceberg lettuce and Romaine lettuce and it serves 2. I've eaten here probably 50 times never become ill from their food and have never had a bad meal and there is breakfast...

So I headed over to Douglas Burgers last night after spending the day pouring concrete in my backyard. I drove into the drive through at 9:50pm. The car in front of me took some time ordering so I drove up to the speaker at 9:55. After waiting 2 minutes and calling into the speaker for someone to take my order the light up menu was shut off. I then drove up to the window to place my order and was barely acknowledged. The cashier then came to the window and notified me they closed at 10. I looked at my clock and it was 9:59. I let her know I drove in and had already waited 10 minutes. I asked for her name to which she responded "I don't have to give you my name if I don't want to". I was taken a bit back by her response so I asked for her manager. She called the owner Thomas over. At this point I didn't want to place an order, I just wanted to voice my disappointment with the treatment I had received. Instead of addressing the situation Thomas just blew me off and walked away.
