If I could rate this place zero stars I would. And from me, that’s pretty bad, as I am a very positive and forgiving person who rarely writes a bad review unless I find it necessary to do so. I recently had a very disappointing and disturbing experience at Up In Smoke. I visited the store on a Saturday night, close to closing time, and was met with a highly unprofessional and uncomfortable atmosphere. Two gentlemen were working the store, and they were playing extremely vulgar and offensive music that objectified women, singing along and blasting it at full volume.

When I approached them for advice on which vape to purchase, as I had recently quit smoking, they responded rudely. I asked them about the vape they were using, and one of them replied , "This one is weed. Why, would you like to buy some from me?" Their demeanor was disgusting, and their attitude made me feel incredibly uncomfortable.

The situation worsened when I noticed that one of the employees seemed to be under the influence. He mistakenly charged me $9 for an item that was supposed to be $99. I decided to return the following week to speak with the manager about my experience. Unfortunately, the manager's response was just as unprofessional. She laughed in my face and thaught the whole thing was very comical, sheasked what I wanted her to do about it, and then said “so you’re complaining that you got a good deal? Maybe you should pay the other &90z, and had me write my name and number down so they can call and charge me for their mistake. The only reason I brought this up to her in private was to let her know her employees were intoxicated, but she seemed to be ok with it.

I chose Up In Smoke because of their good reputation, but I never expected such behavior from their employees. The fact that they seem to be selling illegal drugs behind the counter is incredibly concerning. The management had an opportunity to address the issue but chose to laugh it off instead. For Those that have not ventured into this wonderful shop you should make time to look around. The customer service is an 8 of 10 stars. They tend to get busy at anytime so have patience. Their helpers are always busy cleaning, but they all love to help and to make suggestions that fit your needs. It doesn't matter what your budget is. Items run from $10 thru $400 depending on the level of artistry/size. Vape pens to Volcano table tops to travel size dab units, and the most beautiful water pipes around locally. Enjoy your visit. I go no where elsewhere for my required items when I run out of Raw papers, screens, and vape needs. You could order by mail, but these guys back their equipment. Just like many of the other extremely satisfied customers that are regular patrons, I too have started to bring my business here to Johnny and his staff. I am fortunate that this establishment is on my way home from work and extremely convenient for me. More than that, is just what everyone else is saying here, the guys are super friendly, very easy to talk to, and very willing to take the time and make sure that they hook you up with what you need. The first time I came in about a couple of months ago, I was completely blown away by the outstanding amount and the quality of glass accessories to select from. Really, they have just about everything that you might have a need for. Plus the other stuff, like cleaning accessories, travel bags, hookas and shisha (flavored tobacco). I am always pleased with my interactions at the shop, it feels more like coming over to a friend's place. A friend who has an AWESOME museum of glass!!! Come on in and check...
