The Bloom of Time — Local services in Lake Forest

So here I am and it was 1:00 PM in the afternoon and at the last minute on Valentines Day I'm deciding to spend the afternoon with my girlfriend as this was not planned in so much as I was committed to finishing a project and I had a deadline to meet.

Well I really felt bad because this was our first Valentines Day which we were supposed to spend together and yes, I really do love this woman, but I haven't told her yet about the love I had for her and she understood that I had a deadline to meet and she was very understanding.

So I called my girlfriend up, apologized to her for not acknowledging how important Valentines Day is and asked her if she would like to spend the remainder of day together and celebrate Valentines Day.

She was excited and so was I, so I set up a time to meet her at her place in Huntington Beach, but reality quickly hit me after I hung up, "flower's, I don't have any flowers" now I was stressing out BIG TIME as I called several Flower Shops, they were either closed till Monday or were just closing.

I called "The Bloom of Time" and they were open, Oh and you know I was excited as my stress level, which was climbing up the wall because what kind of a boyfriend / man would show up to his girlfriends house on Valentines Day without having a beautiful bouquet of flowers to present to her.

Yes, I know what you are thinking, "what kind of man would do that to his girlfriend ?" a very inconsiderate, low life, selfish, self-centered, loser of a boyfriend / man, well she wouldn't really think that about me, but you bet her girlfriends would and let me tell you, they would probably hunt me down and throw me a beating based on general - principle alone.

So, back to "The Bloom of Time," I called them spoke with Adrienne and she instantly spoke to me about their flowers, and their website, so I immediately viewed their website and "WOW" was I surprised because its been four years sense I purchased flowers for an occasion, especially for Valentines Day.

Their website was so easy, they had amazing photos posted up of the many flower arrangements and their prices, not only could you pick out a beautiful arrangement, but you could also build up your own custom arrangement as well.

I found a beautiful arrangement and added a few additional flowers to the arrangement, paid for it on the website which was very easy and 20 minutes later I was at the curbside to "The Bloom of Time" placing the beautiful flower arrangement in the front seat of my car.

Now, I'm relaxed no longer stressing out, I am very excited, feel confident about the flowers and really looking forward to spending Valentines Day with my girlfriend, Alyson.

I arrive to Alyson's home knock on her door and as she opens the door I say to her " will you be my Valentine," Alyson smiled her eyes watered as she said yes and kissed me, thanking me for the beautiful flowers.

I took Alyson to Lunch as we dinned at Surfside Tacos right on Pacific Coast Hwy, the food was fantastic and later we walked along the beach and it was there I confessed my love to Alyson for the first time.

So this became a very special Valentines Day for Alyson and myself a Valentines Day we will always remember as it was our first of a lifetime of many that will follow and it was made possible with the beautiful flowers I presented to Alyson as she kept telling me how beautiful the flowers were and she appreciated me going out of my way in making a perfect Valentines Day for her and us.

Now, was I going to tell Alyson that I was FREAKING OUT about finding a Flower Shop that was open, because I procrastinated and the day flew by, "Hell NO" because "The Bloom of Time" saved the day and made my experience so very easy.

Adrienne and her team have built such a special studio. Anyone who scrolls through Instagram knows they are incredibly talented. I immediately knew they were the florist I needed for my wedding when I looked at the portfolio. Their designs are insane. But aside from the designs, the service and team are above and beyond. A few things that stood out for me:

Shawna! Shawna was my point of contact for the whole process and she was incredible. So responsive, knowledgeable, collaborative. Direction/Interpretation: For our first call, I was very unprepared. I didn't have colors, a theme, anything. Shawna helped me, translated what I was going for, and helped steer me in the direction of the types of questions I needed to answer for myself to make the floral vision come together. It was so helpful. Designs / mockup experience: it was so fun collaborating with them on the look and feel. I think I spent over an hour with them in their studio talking about the mockup (which was already exquisite). It was one of the highlights of wedding planning for me. And then when I saw the final pieces I was FLOORED. They made adjustments to the original mockup that made them even better. I think the process was the perfect balance of me giving thoughts while really embracing their expertise and creative specialty. I felt heard, but at the end of the day they were the geniuses. And the flowers benefitted in the end. Budget: They never tried to upsell me. They were incredible about working with me in my budget to make high impact choices. For example, we decided not to do florals at the church and allocate all budget to the reception. That made a big difference and I think speaks to how much they're on your side. Quality: I have been to a lot of weddings. A lot. And I love flowers. One thing I notice is that at a lot of weddings, the arrangements can sometimes already seem a day old or wilted. These flowers were some of the freshest, most vibrant arrangements I have seen at a wedding. Everyone was commenting on how beautiful they were and they were not in your face over the top. Elegant, gorgeous, colorful and just incredible quality.

I am so grateful to Bloom of Time for the work they did. I almost considered bringing my bouquet on the honeymoon (and 7 hour flight) because I was lamenting leaving it behind. Pick them! You will...

I’m so glad I chose to work with Bloom of Time for my wedding! From the initial meeting, Shawna did a great job of understanding the look I was going for and worked with me to find something that would achieve it within my budget. Their proposal was itemized in a way I could understand how different parts of my budget would contribute to the overall wedding. BoT was great about incorporating personal items into my requests, from heirloom bud vases to a crown that they adorned with flowers. When there were risks with my choices (for example, a delicate flower that wilts quickly), BoT was upfront and made suggestions to work around seasonal limitations. After I’d already signed a contract, I changed my mind about a particular arrangement, and they were quick to mock up a new proposal so we could formalize those changes.

Bloom of Time was easy and flexible to work with - honestly a lifesaver since I was planning the wedding remotely with a 9 hour time difference.
