Ghost Hunter by Escape Room Era — Attraction in Lake Forest

Our company had our bi-annual kick-off meeting here and it was awesome! I can't say enough of how pleasant it was working with Tyler and Carson, who both went above and beyond to accommodate our every need. You need to understand that this location is for the escape rooms, but also the same facility that houses the bus escape when NOT in use. For corporate events the bus escape will come to you. However, to cater to our specific needs of 150 guests, they cleared out the entire warehouse/facility and allowed us to take advantage of all 3 escape experiences (bus included) at their facility! Obviously, the warehouse is not fully furnished for purposes like ours, but even so they were prepared to offer vendors for furniture rentals, food, drinks, etc., or if you have your own vendors, as in our case, you can choose to use them - without any fees being charged by The Scene Escape. Did the Suburbia room. Like some other reviews, the game master made the experience a terrible one. He really seemed like he had no interest in being there and he was just really lazy and put no effort into making it a remotely fun experience. From the beginning, he gave no background to the story. He just said to figure it out. The clues were terrible and mildly helpful. There was a key that was completely missing from the room! All he did was apologize, but that's a critical part for escaping. SMH. Then when it was over since we didn't escape, he didn't bother to show us how to solve it. In every escape room I've done, the game master explains the remainder of puzzles we needed to solve. He just said he needed to clean the room. How lazy can you be? SCAM! not only did my appointment have to get last minute changed (which I was more than willing to cooperate with) but when I showed up on the time they offered to me, nobody was even there. Stood outside for 30 minutes, doors locked, no service. I had a whole party waiting outside for my 21st bday. Keep in mind this was on a Sunday afternoon! They are supposed to be open!
