Grocery Outlet — Local services in Lake Oswego

Very Disappointed with Owner and poor Management at this Store! My husband and I sent a personalized letter to the store directly as we wanted to give the store a chance to address our complaint without it being public but we never received any type of response. We've been shopping at this store for close to 8 yrs. and have been very good customers. My husband and I had a really bad experience with a beyond rude checker named Tonya at the store about a month ago. We were chatting about the plastic bag ban that Milwaukie just voted in and asked it the store would be giving a paper option. She was very sarcastic about it and started going on about her personal views about politics etc. We were shocked by her arrogence and lack of common courtesy. It was so uncomfortable, we were trapped in the situation couldn't get away from her until we had completed our purchase. We both walked out of the store speechless and after I got home and thought about how weird this experience was I wrote the personal letter to the store management directly, since they apparently don't care I felt they deserve a negative response on GOOGLE. Too bad, we will be doing our shopping at one of the other Grocery Outlet stores and will let others know of our negative experience at this...

So I was there doing some shopping after I had been at Harbor Freight had one of the Harbor Freight carts nobody said anything even though I walked by a couple employees coming in did my shopping was nearly done heading towards the cash register and the manager he was harassing me because I had a Harbor Freight cart I told him not to worry about it I am literally going to check out and heading back to Harbor Freight because we were doing more shopping at Harbor Freight he kept harassing me brought me another cart told me as soon as I took my stuff out of the cart he was going to take that cart I told him he needed to leave it alone cuz I had my purse in it he tried getting the store owner to come and talk to me he treated me like I was a criminal a thief or something because I had a cart that had a different name on it now why I was able to come into the store with other employees around and nobody said anything until I was ready to check out I do not understand and the way he started harassing me he would not leave me alone he even followed me out...

Joseph opened a register to check out another employee and could see the other 2 checkers had customers with over 30 items/full carts, I had 3 items. I had already been standing in line 3 or 4 minutes and he said "no I'm closed" when I raised my items and asked if he could ring me out. He then turned, walked to the wine, faced 1 wine bottle, then walked back to the exact same register and invited the person behind me in line to come to his register, with a full cart. I do not understand why he blatantly chose to ignore me, I was extremely friendly and he wasted my time so thoroughly, I wrote most of this review while I was standing in line, looking at Joseph twirl the item dividing stick like a baton while slowly checking items.
