Many locations also feature DIY workshops and events, fostering a sense of community and encouraging customers to learn new skills.

Customers often find that the quality of products justifies the cost, particularly when it comes to tools and hardware. Ace Hardware frequently runs promotions, offering discounts on certain items or seasonal sales that can provide great value to customers. The local ownership of many Ace stores also allows for flexibility in pricing strategies, catering to the needs of the community.
Online Shopping and Delivery: Ace Hardware has made strides in expanding its online presence, allowing customers to shop from the comfort of their homes. The website provides a user-friendly experience, enabling customers to browse inventory, check local availability, and place orders for delivery or in-store pickup. While the online experience is generally smooth, some customers have reported occasional discrepancies in product availability or shipping times, which can be a concern for those relying on timely deliveries.
Community Engagement: Ace Hardware places a strong emphasis on community involvement. Many stores participate in local events, sponsor community projects, and support charitable initiatives. This commitment to giving back reinforces the neighborhood hardware store image and fosters loyalty among customers who appreciate supporting local businesses that care about their communities.

Its extensive product selection, commitment to exceptional customer service, and community engagement contribute to a positive shopping experience. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am absolutely fuming from the amazingly lackluster customer service that I received at Ace. I went in on 5/27 to purchase a grill and have it assembled and delivered by Ace. I worked with Dan to place the order, gave them my $450 for the grill, gave them all of my contact info and was assured that it would be on the truck and delivered to the store the following week and that Iād receive a call from them to schedule the home delivery. Guess what? It never got on the truck! So, I call them on 6/10 and am told that not only did they not have the grill but that it would for sure be delivered to them the next day on 6/11 since it didnāt make it the week before. Guess what? It didnāt make it on the truck for the second time! So, again I call them to see where itās at and they tell me they donāt even have a record of the purchase when I am literally looking at my physical receipt! So not only did they not do what they were supposed to do and get it ordered for me in the first place but they went ahead and lied to me about as well. So, I marched into the store to get my refund and was told by the supervisor, who also happened to be Dan, that Iād be refunded for a grill that āthey didnāt have.ā Umm what?!?! Was I charged for a grill that didnāt exist? Did they oversell it and just figure that theyād take my money anyway and hope Iād forget about it? Or, was it Danās cop out for not admitting that he dropped the ball and didnāt get the grill ordered for me in the first place and didnāt care enough to let me know? And to top it off nobody, not one single person even apologized to me for this entire mess. Nobody tried to salvage the sale and right the wrong in any way. I tried to do my due diligence and support a neighborhood store and foolishly thought Iād get better and more professional service. Wrong! Iāll be buying the same grill from Amazon, it will be delivered tomorrow and $50 cheaper. Donāt support...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you want to be talked down to and treated like you don't know anything, this is the place for you. Holding employees accountable used to be a thing...but Dan the manager doesn't believe this should be the case. Multiple times my husband and I have called asking if an item was in stock and how much it costs. Multiple times we were told that yes it was, and that it was a specific price. When we have gotten there, twice now that item was not actually in stock which was frustrating. Today we decided to give it another shot and we were told an air filter we needed was $21.99. My husband confirmed it was $21.99 with the associate and ran out to go pick it up. When he gets there it's $26.99. Now, if we were told $26.99 in the first place that would have been one thing but we weren't. He asked about it and the sales associate told him to talk to the manager and when he did that the manager said that if he didn't know the sales associates name he couldn't help. He spoke to my husband in a very condescending manner and treated him like he was a 5-year-old. Not okay. Now how often do people say their names when they answer the phone? In my experience I don't remember a sales associate ever telling me their name when they answered. Apparently it was my husband fault he was told the wrong price because he didn't ask for the sales associates name before talking with them. Again, $5 is not that big of a deal but three times in a row having one issue or another...
