As rude as these people have been over the last 5 years l had all but quit going , they had a deceiving add that got me to come back in. It was a Trager shelf but the picture was of a grill. Cool I knew it could not be right but I had to see. I needed a key made anyways so I roll in get my key made and I asked about it. He proceeded to laugh at me and tell me that grill are expensive! Ya'll had the deceiving add. So feeling adequately embarrassed I went to leave. My lady friend asked me if I had gotten helped which he over hears and proceeded tell my friend how stupid I was for believing there add. Getting help here is always a nightmare! There employee morale is terrible! They either hate there life or the there job one, but either way they take it out on there customers. Neighborhood store should not be there slogan. This is the first time I have ever written a bad review for any business. I am just tired of this treatment. The part he didn't know is I just got my tax return. A I am really looking for a new grill. Had he of taking time to be a salesman he would of found out I could afford the whole grill and not just the shelf. I hope just one person reads this and is available to avoid the same treatment, then it will be worth the time I have taken to write this.

Ace Hardware is a well-respected hardware retailer known for its neighborhood approach and commitment to customer service. With thousands of locations across the United States and beyond, Ace Hardware has built a reputation as a friendly, local hardware store that offers a wide range of products and services for both DIY enthusiasts and professional contractors.

Product Selection: Ace Hardware stores typically stock a diverse range of products, including tools, paint, plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, lawn and garden equipment, and home improvement materials. The selection can vary by location, but many stores emphasize quality and carry reputable brands alongside Ace's own private label products. Customers often appreciate the focus on home maintenance and improvement essentials, including seasonal items that cater to gardening, snow removal, and home repairs.

Customer Service: One of the standout features of Ace Hardware is its emphasis on customer service. Store associates are generally knowledgeable and eager to assist customers with their needs. Many locations pride themselves on delivering a personalized shopping experience, often remembering repeat customers and their preferences. This friendly atmosphere is a significant draw for shoppers who prefer a more intimate shopping experience compared to larger home improvement chains.

Store Layout and Shopping Experience: Ace Hardware stores are typically smaller than big-box home improvement retailers, which often leads to a more manageable shopping experience. The layout is usually logical and easy to navigate, making it simpler for customers to find specific items. The store design often reflects the local community, contributing to a sense of familiarity and comfort for shoppers. Many locations also feature DIY workshops and events, fostering a sense of community and encouraging customers to learn new skills.

Pricing: Pricing at Ace Hardware is generally competitive, though it may be slightly higher compared to larger chains. Customers often find that the quality of products justifies the cost, particularly when it comes to tools and hardware. Ace Hardware frequently runs promotions, offering discounts on certain items or seasonal sales that can provide great value to customers. The local ownership of many Ace stores also allows for flexibility in pricing strategies, catering to the needs of the community.

Online Shopping and Delivery: Ace Hardware has made strides in expanding its online presence, allowing customers to shop from the comfort of their homes. The website provides a user-friendly experience, enabling customers to browse inventory, check local availability, and place orders for delivery or in-store pickup. While the online experience is generally smooth, some customers have reported occasional discrepancies in product availability or shipping times, which can be a concern for those relying on timely deliveries.

Community Engagement: Ace Hardware places a strong emphasis on community involvement. Many stores participate in local events, sponsor community projects, and support charitable initiatives. This commitment to giving back reinforces the neighborhood hardware store image and fosters loyalty among customers who appreciate supporting local businesses that care about their communities.

Overall Experience: In summary, Ace Hardware stands out as a reliable and community-focused retailer in the hardware and home improvement sector. Its extensive product selection, commitment to exceptional customer service, and community engagement contribute to a positive shopping experience. While pricing may be slightly higher than larger chains, many customers find the personal touch, quality of products, and local ownership to be worth the investment. Whether you're tackling a small repair or a large home improvement project, Ace Hardware is often seen as a trusted partner for all your...

I am absolutely fuming from the amazingly lackluster customer service that I received at Ace. I went in on 5/27 to purchase a grill and have it assembled and delivered by Ace. I worked with Dan to place the order, gave them my $450 for the grill, gave them all of my contact info and was assured that it would be on the truck and delivered to the store the following week and that I’d receive a call from them to schedule the home delivery. Guess what? It never got on the truck! So, I call them on 6/10 and am told that not only did they not have the grill but that it would for sure be delivered to them the next day on 6/11 since it didn’t make it the week before. Guess what? It didn’t make it on the truck for the second time! So, again I call them to see where it’s at and they tell me they don’t even have a record of the purchase when I am literally looking at my physical receipt! So not only did they not do what they were supposed to do and get it ordered for me in the first place but they went ahead and lied to me about as well. So, I marched into the store to get my refund and was told by the supervisor, who also happened to be Dan, that I’d be refunded for a grill that ā€œthey didn’t have.ā€ Umm what?!?! Was I charged for a grill that didn’t exist? Did they oversell it and just figure that they’d take my money anyway and hope I’d forget about it? Or, was it Dan’s cop out for not admitting that he dropped the ball and didn’t get the grill ordered for me in the first place and didn’t care enough to let me know? And to top it off nobody, not one single person even apologized to me for this entire mess. Nobody tried to salvage the sale and right the wrong in any way. I tried to do my due diligence and support a neighborhood store and foolishly thought I’d get better and more professional service. Wrong! I’ll be buying the same grill from Amazon, it will be delivered tomorrow and $50 cheaper. Don’t support...

If you want to be talked down to and treated like you don't know anything, this is the place for you. Holding employees accountable used to be a thing...but Dan the manager doesn't believe this should be the case. Multiple times my husband and I have called asking if an item was in stock and how much it costs. Multiple times we were told that yes it was, and that it was a specific price. When we have gotten there, twice now that item was not actually in stock which was frustrating. Today we decided to give it another shot and we were told an air filter we needed was $21.99. My husband confirmed it was $21.99 with the associate and ran out to go pick it up. When he gets there it's $26.99. Now, if we were told $26.99 in the first place that would have been one thing but we weren't. He asked about it and the sales associate told him to talk to the manager and when he did that the manager said that if he didn't know the sales associates name he couldn't help. He spoke to my husband in a very condescending manner and treated him like he was a 5-year-old. Not okay. Now how often do people say their names when they answer the phone? In my experience I don't remember a sales associate ever telling me their name when they answered. Apparently it was my husband fault he was told the wrong price because he didn't ask for the sales associates name before talking with them. Again, $5 is not that big of a deal but three times in a row having one issue or another...
