Having visited the Rooftops several times in the past, I was looking forward to returning after a few years away. Unfortunately, the experience fell well short of expectations. The food service was particularly underwhelming. When it was finally available, the food was served cold and lacked even basic offerings that one would typically expect — for example, there was no way to customize a classic Chicago-style hot dog. There was no cookie selection, which I used to speak highly of. Additionally, the setup of the serving area felt more like a temporary picnic arrangement than a permanent, well-managed hospitality space. The beverage options were equally disappointing. Alcoholic offerings were limited strictly to canned beverages, with no availability of basic spirits such as vodka, rum, or whiskey. While I wasn’t expecting a full bar, I did expect at least a minimal variety of mixed drink options. Furthermore, all beverage options contained carbonation, which may not suit all guests. The Rooftops were once considered a unique and luxurious way to experience a game — a blend of comfort, exclusivity, and elevated service. That atmosphere appears to have been replaced by something far less refined, yet significantly more expensive. What was once a premium game-day experience now feels like an overpriced picnic with very little value added. I hope to see meaningful improvements in the future that restore the Rooftops to the level of quality and service they were...
Read morePurchased 26 tickets for a company outing for 3639 N Sheffield Ave game on Monday June 18th vs the LA Dodgers. Game was delayed due to rain and then cancelled 3 hours later due to right field lights not working. When we left we were told that our tickets are null and no refund or reschedule will be given. The Cubs organization announced the next day that all tickets holders of June 18th game can either come to makeup game on the 19th at 12:05PM or pick another day in the season to get tickets for pending availability. They said you must call the cubs number or email them before the start of the makeup game. When I called the number the next day no one answered until 3:45PM but I emailed them at 9:40AM. On the phone they basically told me tough luck you will not get a refund nor can you reschedule your tickets to another game or attend the game at 7:05PM on the 19th. They told us because you were able to have the open bar and food for 3 hours your tickets are void now. We spent over $5700 on tickets and never got to see the Cubs play. It was very tough for everyone to rake up $220.88 a person to attend this game for absolutely nothing. We spent $220.88/person for a 3-hour open bar of beer and wine only! This is absolutely ridiculous! How is...
Read moreI have been here a couple of times now and it is a good way to enjoy an all inclusive view of the cubs game. The options here are great if you're more about socializing than seeing the game. Multiple floors allow you to see the game from the roof, or from the air conditioned floor with booths and comfort. The food they have is generally as good as you will get at the park itself. Having an all you can eat situation lets you try a little of everything. The biggest complaint I have however is the lack of shade on the top bleachers. While I understand the safety of an umbrella flying off the roof there has to be a way to mount some permanent umbrellas up here so you can enjoy the game outside and not be baked like a potato. The other complaint is that the several TV's were past their prime and could use to be replaced. When you spend a couple of hundred dollars to be at a place like this you expect their TV's to work equally as well as the ones in the free bars next door. Overall this is a good time and I'll continue to go here...
