We first heard of SIT Social through the Chicago Corgi Cavalcade about a year ago. We attended a few corgi meet-ups at this location and were very impressed by their professionalism and the general vibe of the place. Being as though our girl is on the anxious and shy side, we have been hesitant to throw her into just any daycare/boarding situation. With this being said, we were pleased to learn that SIT Social only allows dogs under 50 lbs, who are well behaved and friendly, at a limited capacity. We decided to give this place a try, as a means of helping our doggo socialize and get out of the house.
Our first day was very smooth. We were able to get all of our questions answered via email prior to drop off. Upon drop off Daisy (our corgi) was met with love by staff members. This immediately eased our nerves about leaving her for the day. The best part about SIT Social is the "pupdates". Midway through the day we will get an update with pictures, videos, and an update on Daisy's behavior. This helps us feel comfortable and confident about the care she is receiving. Needless to say, we were pleased with how the first day went and decided to book a "standing order" for 1-2 days a week indefinitely.
It has now been about 5 months of Daisy attending daycare at SIT Social and we would not change a thing. We even left her for boarding for the first time a few weeks ago. Again, given our girls natural anxiety in social settings, we were a nervous wreck leaving her for a weekend, but were comforted knowing she was with such kind, patient, loving, and professional staff. Special shout out to Bri, who in particular has been so great to our girl and responsive to us humans!
Logistically, this place is in a good central location. There is always parking out front. When you get there you call their number and they greet you and your dog / bring your dog out to you. Prices are also fair for the more intimate care received.
Overall, this place is a must for local small dog owners. We are so blessed to have found this place, and can not thank them enough for taking in our girl and helping her grow and slowly overcome some of her social anxiety. We can not recommend SIT Social enough. If you are looking for somewhere were your dog is not just a number, but rather where your dog is truly cared about, this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am a first time puppy Mom & my Bella Essence just had her first birthday. Iād been obsessing for months about what to do to make sure that she was celebrated in a way that she could enjoy with other puppies INSIDE, as itās winter now. I stumbled upon Sit Social online & from the initial phone call, a weight was lifted off of my shoulders. I initially spoke with Jacqueline, expressing my interest to have a puppy pawty & she e-mailed over the information right away. Once confirmed, anytime I called they greeted me by name & were familiar with the party & my puppies name & made sure that any question or concern I had was addressed. Upon arrival on the day of the pawty, we were greeted by Bre and Mary, who were so warm & amazing with all of our guests. Iād brought tons of āparent juiceā & left my truck unlocked with the trunk open in the front while welcoming guests & Mary watched it without being asked & brought in tons of things I would have never asked her too because they were heavy. All with a smile! Bre took each guest through a tour separately, so that they understood the rules to each space with their dogs & could have questions answered on an individual basis. I was so impressed with the fact that she remembered each pupās name, and took pictures and videos of everything throughout the party sending them to me providing one less thing I had to do. At the end of the party she heard a friend ask if we could do dinner & called several restaurants to see who would accommodate us with our pooches. I cannot rave enough about the friendliness of the staff & the beauty of the space, days later I am still impressed. As are the guests, many now looking forward to their own fur babyās birthday so that we can return. I highly recommend utilizing them for any services they offer because they will give your pet the attention, love, and care that you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLast summer we were on the hunt for a new daycare, I feel so lucky we found Sit Social. From the very beginning it was clear that the pups are at the center of everything at Sit. Through the interview process, you immediately understand that the teamās top priorities are the safety and fit for both your pup and the pups already in their care. Luckily, Stella aced her interview and has been a part of the pack since. At morning drop offs, she doesnāt look back. And thatās a testament to the team at Sit. As a covid puppy, Stella doesnāt like to be too far from her people, but at Sit she runs straight to her human friends. Throughout the day, I love the social media posts that provide a glimpse into the dayās activities ā games, themed photo ops, pool and yard time in the summer. I also look forward to Stellaās daily pupdates that include pics/videos and an overview of her mood, play style and energy levels from the day. The team interacts with the pups in such creative and playful ways, Stellie is exhausted by the time pick up rolls around. They also have add-on services that are nice treats (think peanut butter kongs). Last but not least, the team members at Sit are friendly, kind and caring. You know youāre leaving your pup in the best hands. Communication is easy and frequent, booking a breeze and you get email/text notices when those pupdates hit. I cannot recommend our friends at Sit...
