Bodega Market, perfectly placed next to Munn Park in downtown Lakeland, is a powerhouse combo of New York-style bodegas and Florida hospitality. Opened by Yohansi and Amaury Santana, owners of the Divicious Deli & Coffee Shop next door, this humble corner store packs a refreshing local anything you need option for the wonderful city of Lakeland.
One standout feature is the coffee bar, offering locally sourced brews that provide a perfect start to the day or a midday pick-me-up. The bodega contains a selection of fresh-sliced Boar's Head deli meats, perfect for sandwiches or for a picnic in the park across the street.
The wine selection is thoughtfully placed at the end of the Bodega. Which features a wide range of options from various Moscato's and whites, a wonderful addition to any picnic basket.
Additionally, Bodega Market contains all the essentials, including canned goods, snacks, and my favorite, Bang Bang Bakehouse rum cake, to include daily household essentials. Near the main entrance are a few tables and chairs for patrons. My partner and I took a much-needed break while enjoying a few drinks and snacks and engaged in friendly conversation with local regulars of the bodega.
The owners were welcoming and answered all our questions. It's no wonder why Bodega Market is a must when visiting the local farmers market. It's a beautiful spot for local residents and visitors. Whether you're grabbing a coffee, picking up deli items, or selecting a bottle of wine, this market offers a personalized shopping experience that larger retailers...

We had a conversation with a couple of locals and they said this bodega storefront is filling in the gap for grab 'n go food as well as soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. They also offer deli cold cuts, cold mashed potatoes, tuna and chicken salads, different types of freshly baked bread, and baked cookies. While I was there I met Yohansi, the owner, and she was very gracious and helpful. This place is already successful since its opening day, and I'm pretty sure it will stay like this for...
